PARIS — Samsung is developing its suite of artificial intelligence features known as Galaxy AI specifically for the Chinese market, the company's mobile chief told CNBC, as it looks to regain market share that has been decimated by local players. But China, the world's biggest smartphone market, has been a struggle for Samsung over the last few years. Foreign firms looking to launch AI features in China likely need to partner with local companies.

The survey respondents were decision-makers in GenAI strategy or data analytics in 1,600 organizations worldwide in key sectors, including banking, insurance, retail, and health care. Adoption referred to both experimentation and full implementation in the survey. Chinese organizations are leading in the adoption of generative AI, with 83% of them either running initial tests or having fully implemented the technology. Europe is building a multiple rocket launcher that resembles America's HIMARS, the ground-fired weapon that took on the precision strike missions that Ukraine's battered air force couldn't. Many, such as France's LRU and Germany's MARS 2, are based on the U.S. M270, a tracked mobile rocket launcher, and its Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System rockets. One HIMARS launcher can carry six GMLRS rockets or one longer-range ATACMS ballistic missile. HIMARS rockets destroyed Russian ammunition depots and headquarters, disrupting logistics and command and control, and spurring Russian forces to move vital facilities deeper behind their lines. Collectively, such trends are prompting some militaries to consider possible alternatives to the US HIMARS system, though certainly that remains a major player in this competition for contracts."
