"I think for tomorrow Red Bull are still the favourites and they normally have the better race pace," he added. The Monegasque was 0.065 slower than Sainz's pole time of one minute 34.356 seconds in a windy session at the undulating circuit outside Austin. "The last lap wasn't the best, Carlos did a better job today and deserves to be on pole," said Leclerc. Ferrari need to score 19 points more than Red Bull, who have won the last seven races, to keep the constructors' championship alive with three rounds remaining. Aston Martin's four times world champion Sebastian Vettel, who won his titles with Red Bull, starts 10th.
The technology platform — called Teligen — was developed by DePuy Synthes, a J & J subsidiary under the medical technology umbrella. J & J said Thursday it expects Teligen to be available in the U.S. later this year. J & J CEO Joaquin Duato, who took over the role earlier this year, has spoken about the complementary nature of the med tech and pharmaceutical divisions. That's where Johnson & Johnson is going to play, in that intersection. We like owning J & J for its defensive characteristics right now, while all three divisions are under the same roof.

"The emails show that President Trump knew that the specific numbers of voter fraud were wrong but continued to tout those numbers, both in court and to the public," the judge wrote. The judge said four other emails "demonstrate an effort by President Trump and his attorneys to press false claims in federal court for the purpose of delaying the January 6 vote." Trump and his allies filed over 60 lawsuits challenging the 2020 election, which Biden won, with some complaints alleging voter fraud without evidence to support those claims.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump holds a rally ahead of the midterm elections, in Mesa, Arizona, U.S., October 9, 2022. The testimony of the key witness, coupled with surveillance footage the Justice Department also obtained, represent some of the strongest known evidence to date of possible obstruction of justice by the former Republican president. The New York Times separately reported on Wednesday that Trump aide Walt Nauta was captured on security camera footage from Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach moving boxes out of a storage area at the center of the investigation. The employee who was working at Mar-a-Lago was cooperating with the Justice Department and has been interviewed multiple times by federal agents, the Post reported. The Justice Department declined to comment on the Washington Post's report, and could not immediately be reached for comment on the New York Times article.

"I hope Musk cleans up Twitter," the JPMorgan CEO told CNBC's Julianna Tatelbaum, adding he thinks Musk should look into eliminating anonymous accounts from the site. But a surprising drop in the unemployment rate and another boost in worker wages sent a clear message to markets that more giant interest rate hikes are on the way. Everybody who seems to want a job is getting a job," said Ron Hetrick, senior economist at labor force data provider Lightcast. "But we've been getting into a situation where our low unemployment rate has absolutely been a significant driver of our inflation." A series of central bank rate increases has been aimed at reducing demand and thus loosening up a labor market where there are still 1.7 open jobs for every available worker. It all makes the inflation fight look ongoing, even with a slowdown in payroll growth.
The trial results released on late Tuesday could mark a rare victory in the search for a treatment for the memory-robbing disease after years of clinical failures. Biogen's stock surged 46.6% to $290.99 in premarket trading, putting it on track to add over $13.5 billion in market capitalization. BMO analyst Evan Seigerman called the data an "unequivocal win" for Biogen and Alzheimer's patients. The latest trial boost for Biogen and Eisai's lecanemab has raised hope for success in trials testing Roche's gantenerumab and Lilly's donanemab. Shares of smaller Alzheimer's drug developers also rose in premarket U.S. trading.

REUTERS/Brian SnyderWASHINGTON, Sept 23 (Reuters) - U.S. President Joe Biden will announce on Friday nearly $1.5 billion to fund access to medications for opioid overdoses, sanctions against traffickers, and increased funding for law enforcement, the White House said. The Biden administration is keen to show it is taking action on a worsening nationwide opioid crisis, which according to U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data fueled more than 107,000 drug overdose deaths in 2021, a nearly 15% increase from the previous year. Biden will announce nearly $1.5 billion in grants from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to states, tribal lands and territories, said Miriam Delphin-Rittmon, assistant secretary for mental health and substance use. The funds will go toward treating substance-use disorders and removing barriers to key tools like naloxone, a medication that can reverse opioid overdoses, Delphin-Rittmon said.
