"It's been pretty incredible," Tim Williams, director of public relations for BetUS told Business Insider. "This is the very first time we've seen any off-field prop bets challenge or even overtake the half-time show." Propositions, or prop bets unrelated to gameplay are largely prohibited in the US. That rule is about to get a little less hard and fast as the Amalfi Coast gets its “own” airport. Technically it’s a reopening rather than a new airport built from scratch. ‘An important moment for the region’The Amalfi Coast is stunningly beautiful -- and it is one of the most overtouristed parts of Italy. GI_ELLE/iStock Editorial/Getty ImagesAnd while the Amalfi Coast has struggled with overtourism with authorities introducing major restrictions on cars to ease congestion, locals seem pleased. Fausto Salsano, owner of Vietri Centro B&B in Vietri sul Mare, the first village on the famous coastline, told CNN: “I’m thrilled that we will have an Amalfi Coast airport.

It's important to be prepared for a job interview, but there's such a thing as being over-prepared, too. Then, check sites like Glassdoor to hear from previous candidates what questions were asked during the hiring process. "That way when you're in an interview, you're focused on answering the question instead of going off of some pre-rehearsed script." Costa says candidates should also avoid one major mistake that can be "an easy strike" against you as a candidate, especially for a competitive job. Take CNBC's new online course How to Ace Your Job Interview to learn what hiring managers are really looking for, body language techniques, what to say and not to say, and the best way to talk about pay.

The question of what brings insects toward lights of all kinds — from flames to porch lamps — is an ancient one. AdvertisementIt was as if they were using the light source as a way to orient themselves to the sky. Sam FabianBut Fabian said they tested this theory and found that some insects started traveling in a different direction when a new light source switched on. A less-bright future for insectsThere's a reason scientists have long sought to answer the question of why insects are attracted to artificial light. Oboyski also worries that light pollution is impacting the way insects navigate through their environments.

Rather than being attracted to light, researchers believe that artificial lights at night may actually scramble flying insects' innate navigational systems, causing them to flutter in confusion around porch lamps, street lights and other artificial beacons. Political Cartoons View All 253 ImagesThat would make sense if the strongest light source was in the sky. But in the presence of artificial lights, the result is midair confusion, not attraction. They also documented that some insects will flip upside down — and often crash land — in the presence of lights that shine straight upward like search lights. Insect flight was least disrupted by bright lights that shine straight downward, the researchers found.

Rechristened the Mardi Gras, the first Carnival cruise ship sailed out of Miami that March. Cruise ships like the Icon of the Seas will spend the majority of their trip at sea. Eight years later, cruise ships such as the Diamond Princess became early incubators for COVID-19. By Sergio Goncalves and Miguel PereiraLISBON (Reuters) - Thousands of off-duty police officers in plain clothes on Wednesday protested in Lisbon for better wages, demanding the same increases in hazard pay that the outgoing government recently granted to the criminal investigation police (PJ). In late November, after Prime Minister Antonio Costa's resignation but while he still had full powers to make long-term decisions, the government approved hazard pay rises for the PJ that can reach almost 700 euros ($763) per month and are retroactive to January 2023. He added that members of the PSP and the GNR had "practically the same competences as those of the PJ". Police union association ASPP said on Tuesday that the average hazard pay in the PSP was currently between 380 and 420 euros per month, while in the PJ it has reached 1,000 euros.
