One solution could come from a technology called “free-space optics” (FSO), which uses lasers to transfer data through the air. Fog and rain, but even simple air turbulence, are enough to disrupt the signal, which also requires a stable, direct line of sight between transmitter and receiver. So, despite the advantage of not requiring any licensing or regulation, unlike radio signals such as 5G, FSO broadband has yet to materialize as a commercial reality. As of Wednesday morning, a storm surge warning is in effect for the central to southern west coast of Florida, including Tampa. Brisbane, Australia CNN —A pilot who died when he crashed a helicopter into a hotel in Australia had “significant blood alcohol content” during the unauthorized flight, according to an official report into the incident. The pilot had been out with friends at various venues around Cairns and was seen consuming alcohol, according to witnesses and security camera footage, the report said. Cameras also caught the moment he positioned one of Nautilus Aviation’s Robinson R44 Raven II helicopters onto a helipad at Cairns Airport at around 1:30 a.m. local time. The report found they wouldn’t have seen a helicopter that was operating at night with no lights. It found the helicopter wasn’t upright when it hit the hotel, but there was also no sign of mechanical failure.

The report sheds light on the tight limits the White House imposed on the FBI as it undertook a “supplemental” background investigation while Kavanaugh’s confirmation hung in the balance. According to the report, those Trump comments were then flagged by an FBI public affairs office in emails to others at the agency, including some top officials. The White House finally told the official that it would be in touch it if had additional guidance to offer on the supplemental investigation. With the report, Whitehouse is calling for the agency to put in place standard procedures for how such supplemental investigations should be handled.

Yet the man that director Cullen Hoback’s film names as the 2009 founder of bitcoin is denying he is Satoshi Nakamoto. “For the record, I’m not Satoshi,” Peter Todd, a bitcoin core developer, told CNN in a statement. Hoback’s evidence includes a 2010 bitcoin message board post from Todd that he concludes was written by Satoshi Nakamoto. I gave Peter Todd every opportunity to contradict the claims, to explain the claims.
