Raviv (previously known as Ricky) Ullman starred in "Phil of the Future" from 2004 to 2006. Since then he's acted in other series and films, but took some time to reflect on his Disney days. I don't think I knew how to be strategic or what that actually meant in terms of a career." Even though Ullman spent time in the "Disney Circle of Stars" in the early 2000s, he said he was rarely star-struck. "I don't think I was looking at it like, 'now I am a Disney star and will do Disney movies forever,'" but "I never consciously was trying to break out."
The devices help ensure truckers don't drive longer than they should, a maximum of 11 hours per day, to avoid fatigue and keep roads safe. Another driver, Brian Stauffer, pointed out that ELDs don't allow for adjustment, and that a driver that has reached the 11-hour limit shouldn't be forced to stop in a high-crime area, for example. "They used to say, 'I'll get there in about 11 hours'. Now they really only have 11 hours. Before ELDs, hours of service were noted down on paper logbooks, which were easy to falsify.
The European Union's upcoming ban on Russian oil products could spell more turmoil for the Kremlin. China and India are unlikely to buy refined Russian fuels that were once sold to the EU, which will ban them on February 5. That's in contrast to Russian crude oil, which were snapped up by China and India after Europe shunned those supplies. Russia could refine less fuel but keep oil production stable, resulting in even more crude exports to India and China, Katona said. "China will likely to have to use its own products, reducing refined products exports from China that would have otherwise been available to EU buyers," he said.

Filing your 2022 taxes: Why your refund may be smaller

Child tax credit: For tax year 2022, parents may claim a maximum child tax credit of $2,000 for each child through age 16 if your modified adjusted gross income is below $200,000 ($400,000 if filing jointly). This year, if you have one child or dependent, you can only get a maximum credit of $1,050 ($2,100 for two or more). So if it happened late in the year, that may bump your 2022 income into a higher bracket, much the way a big one-time bonus might. Ways to potentially increase your refund or reduce your 2022 tax billTax year 2022 is over, but there still may be a few things you can do now to increase the money the IRS sends you or reduces the amount you will owe. Make an IRA contribution: You still may make 2022 contributions to an IRA up until April 18, 2023.

Healthcare Deal-Making Set to Surge in 2023

This year was supposed to be a big one for healthcare deals. On one side, you had cash-rich pharma companies staring down a $200 billion patent cliff. On the other side, you had plenty of cash-starved smaller-size biotech companies, whose valuations took a hit during the market downturn, offering discounted assets.
The National Association of Realtors named Atlanta the city to watch in 2023. While the national housing market is cooling, it's still thriving in Georgia's capital. Jay Martino, a barber who moved to Atlanta from Charleston, South Carolina. These factors will help Atlanta withstand the headwinds buffeting the national market, which is reeling after skyrocketing home prices and interest rates put home purchases out of reach. The trend suggests the local housing market can outperform the rest of the country in 2023, according to the National Association of Realtors.
“I Wanna Dance with Somebody” suffers from thin dialogue and predictability — dull trappings intrinsic to biopics. Naomi Ackie as Whitney Houston in "I Wanna Dance with Somebody." To wit: Whitney Houston was a Black woman — ate Black, slept Black, lived Black, cried Black, walked Black and died Black. The most peculiar aspect of this criticism is the fact that nearly all American music is Black music. While Houston has mostly elided criticism that she wasn’t Black enough or didn’t make Black music, the spirit of this indictment lives on today.
The Democratic Trump Tax-Return Dump

President Trump’s Democratic critics have broken another political norm, and it’s a big one. On Tuesday the House Ways and Means Committee voted to release six years of Mr. Trump’s tax returns. The Chairman of Ways and Means has power under the law to look at private taxpayer data but must demonstrate a legitimate legislative purpose. During the 2016 campaign, Mr. Trump refused to release his tax returns, and we criticized him for it. Mr. Trump resisted, and Mr. Neal finally won in court last month.
Wells Fargo will pay a $1.7 billion civil penalty and more than $2 billion to the "over 16 million affected consumer accounts," the CFPB said. Wells Fargo has already paid out some of that $2 billion, the bank told Jim Cramer. Wells Fargo has long made clear it was being investigated by the CFPB, so Tuesday's announcement wasn't a complete shock. Shares of Wells Fargo dropped roughly 2% to just under $41 each. However, Wells Fargo had already reserved, or set aside, more than half of that.

You can reframe this as an opportunity and ask your partner for more dates by describing how you feel.

Big deals for the big (and little) screen. Next year is shaping up to be a big one for media deals. Like many other industries, media quickly turned quiet on the dealmaking front this year as the economy soured. However, a stabilization of interest rates, along with money burning a hole in investors' pockets, could lead to a big 2023, insiders say. The landscape for media deals is fascinating when you consider the two opposing forces, as Lucia pointed out to me.
