Non-GAAP earnings-per-share (EPS) of $2.12 grew 78% from last year and beat the $1.90-per-share EPS predicted by analysts, Refinitiv data showed. While the solid margin beat and upside to earnings are similar to what Salesforce reported back in May, one key difference this time was the increased revenue outlook. It now expects to hit $34.7 billion to $34.8 billion, up from $34.5 billion to $34.7 billion. Salesforce raised its GAAP EPS range to $3.50 to $3.52, up from $2.67 to $2.69, and non-GAAP EPS range to $8.04 to $8.06, up from $7.41 to $7.43. Salesforce also expects its cPRO to grow slightly above 11% from last year and that's slightly better than estimates of 10.8% growth.

Still, the Ramaswamy campaign said it raised $600,000 in the day after the debate, the largest single-day total since its launch. The Ramaswamy campaign plans to continue visiting Iowa and answering voter questions like Christensen’s around the state, Chapman told CNN.

A male polar bear rests during a Tundra Buggy ride into the Churchill Wildlife Management Area in August. People have to learn to co-exist with polar bears in Churchill, where some of them stay waiting for sea ice to refreeze. Hudson Bay polar bears are among the most vulnerable on Earth because of loss of sea ice, with their numbers in sharp decline. They arrive as soon as the sea ice breaks up to feast on small fish called capelin that spawn here.

If Loeb’s mother had been around at that point, he said, she would have tried to dissuade him from his late-career turn toward alien hunting. The newly revealed government interest in U.A.P.s got wealthy people wondering how to invest in the search for alien life. In May 2021, the Harvard astronomy-department administrator told Loeb that an anonymous donor had given him $200,000 in research funding. If anything was left of this meteor, or extraterrestrial probe, it was scattered across the seafloor north of Papua New Guinea. Encouraged by that project, Loeb and Siraj started thinking about going after the Papua New Guinea meteorite.

THE COUNTRY OF THE BLIND: A Memoir at the End of Sight, by Andrew LelandAfter reading Andrew Leland’s memoir, “The Country of the Blind,” you will look at the English language differently. You will even look at the word “look” differently. While posing considerable challenges, this has given him what most authors of nonfiction crave: a definitive Big Topic. For now, Leland is mostly a visitor to the “country of the blind,” a title borrowed from an H.G. He’s studied its customs and concerns, and his liminal state lets him act as tour guide to an oblivious sighted citizenry.

[1/2] A view shows a cooked piece of cultivated chicken breast created at the Upside Foods plant, where lab-grown meat is cultivated, in Emeryville, California, U.S. January 11, 2023. Difficulty competing with conventional meat on price has plagued the plant-based meat sector, which has failed to meet market share expectations. To be price competitive, cultivated meat must reach a production cost of $2.92 per pound, Goncalves said. Last year, governments spent about $635 million on alternative proteins, about $167 million of which was for cultivated meat, according to the group. China Chilcano's chefs said the product behaved very similarly to conventional chicken and offered some improvements, like rapid absorption of marinades.
