Another beachfront home in Rodanthe, North Carolina, has collapsed into the ocean. The North Carolina Coastal Federation estimates that Rodanthe loses about 14 feet of beach per year on average. The couple bought the Rodanthe house in 2007. In February 2022, a North Carolina beachfront home partially collapsed into the Atlantic Ocean, spreading debris more than seven miles across the coast. And in May, a video circulating on Twitter captured the dramatic moment when a Rodanthe house on stilts fell into the sea and was swept away after being pummeled by powerful ocean waves.

The otherworldly property, known as Bonita Domes, just hit the market for $2.1 million. Trent Teigen and Robbie RalphJeffrey Weiss, the current owner, bought the house in October 2020 for $808,500, per listing records. Houses in Joshua Tree have a median listing home price of $440,000, according to real-estate data platform Realtor.com. There are currently 181 single-family homes for sale in the area, with prices ranging from $119,999 to $18 million. The Bonita Domes property is the third most expensive listing in the area.

Gen Z has little faith that anyone can keep them safe online, according to a Dell Technologies study. 18% of respondents said they trust the government to protect their data, while 17% trust private sector companies. Gen Z's main cyber threat concern relates to having their personal data or photos shared. The findings indicate that Gen Z doesn't trust any entity, public or private, to keep their data safe online. Gen Z is divided on the question of remote work, according to a new Dell Technologies study. In a survey, 29% of respondents said remote work is important, but another 29% said they favor office-based roles. As Insider's Aki Ito wrote in June, the preference for remote work is largely split by generation, with the oldest workers expressing the strongest preference for permanent remote work and the youngest workers — Gen Z — expressing the least preference. Many companies have been changing their remote work policies as the world continues to adjust after the pandemic. Musk sent his first email to employees on Wednesday, giving them only one day to return to office. Musk "has worked every day to find new and creative ways to screw over the company's workers," Liss-Riordan added in the statement. In the email, Musk said the company will no longer allow remote work — giving workers just one day to get back to the office. "Through this litigation, Twitter employees are going to show the richest man in the world that even he is not above the law," she added.

New York City and the state will pay $36 million to two men who were wrongly convicted of murdering Malcolm X, per AP. Muhammad A. Aziz originally sought $40 million in a civil rights lawsuit in July. The settlement will be split between Aziz and the estate of the late Khalil Islam, who died in 2009. Paperwork for the settlement will be signed over the next few weeks, with New York City paying $26 million and the state of New York paying $10 million, Shanies told the AP. The settlement will be split equally between Aziz and the estate of Islam, The New York Times reported, citing Nicholas Paolucci, the director of public affairs for the New York City Law Department, and Shanies.

An $82 million Palm Jumeirah villa is now the most expensive home ever sold in Dubai. The previous record was set in early April by the sale of a $76.2 million villa, also in Palm Jumeirah. Known as Casa Del Sole, the villa is located on Frond G of the Palm Jumeirah, per Bloomberg. In the exclusive neighborhoods of Palm Jumeirah, Emirates Hills, and Jumeirah Bay Island, only eight new homes are expected to be completed between 2023 and 2025, per Knight Frank.
