Warren Buffett is not done selling Bank of America . Berkshire Hathaway shed a total of 19.2 million BofA shares on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for almost $779 million at an average selling price of $40.52 per share, according to a new regulatory filing. The conglomerate has now been offloading the bank stock for 12 consecutive days with total sales now exceeding $3.8 billion. Its remaining 942.4 million shares have a market value of $37.2 billion at Thursday's close of $39.50. The bank stock has dropped 5.2% so far this week, going as low as $38.98 in Thursday's trading as recession fears plague the financial sector.

CNN —A teenage boy has been charged with murder after three young girls were killed in a stabbing attack at a dance class in northwest England on Monday, British police said. Eight other children suffered stab wounds in the attack and five of them are in critical condition, police said. Two adults also remain in critical condition after being injured in the attack. Police said five people have been arrested so far in connection with the violence in Southport, in which more than 50 police officers were injured. “Our work to identify all those responsible for the despicable violence and aggression seen on the streets of Southport on Tuesday continues,” Assistant Chief Constable Alex Goss said in a statement.

Meta Platforms topped revenue and earnings expectations for the recent quarter, posting earnings of $5.16 per share on $39.07 billion in revenue. Qualcomm posted adjusted earnings of $2.33 per share on $9.39 billion in adjusted revenue. Arm forecast adjusted earnings ranging between 23 cents and 27 cents per share for the fiscal second quarter , while analysts called for 27 cents, per LSEG. Kyndryl Holdings posted revenue of $3.74 billion, falling short of the $3.79 billion expected by analysts surveyed by LSEG. Adjusted earnings topped estimates, while revenue came up short of the $4.53 billion expected by analysts polled by LSEG.

Investors should be wary of those stocks that are due to report next week whose lackluster earnings could send their share prices down. While earnings have been mostly positive this quarter, several stocks could bring bad news and trip up investors. To find these, CNBC Pro screened FactSet for companies reporting next week that have seen their earnings estimates cut by 5% or more in the past three- and six months. The gas pipeline stock has seen analysts' earnings per share estimates cut by 5.3% over the past three months and 18.6% over the past six months. Analysts have slashed their per-share earnings outlook by 44% and 51% in the past three and six months, respectively.

While Michigan, Washington, Minnesota, Texas and California already had laws regulating deepfakes, Minnesota updated their law this year to require a candidate to forfeit their office or nomination if they violate the state’s deepfake laws, among other provisions. In states such as New York, New Mexico and Alabama, victims can seek a court order to stop the content. Katie Hobbs signed his proposal into law in May, along with another AI bill that requires disclosures in campaign ads. Big Tech has already taken some steps to moderate deepfake content. TikTok and Meta (the parent company of Instagram, Threads and Facebook) announced plans in recent months to label AI content, while YouTube requires creators to disclose when videos are AI-created.

McDonald's said it got an early boost from its $5 meal deal promotion. But fast-food chains need more than limited-time offers to get diners back, an analyst said. Other restaurant chains, such as Taco Bell, have come out with revised permanent value menus lately. After annual double-digit price increases at many fast-food chains over the past couple of years, companies are now offering some discounts. On Monday, for example, McDonald's pointed to some early success with its latest value meal offering: A $5 meal that it initially planned to sell for a month starting at the end of June.

Great Britain’s Keiran Reilly took silver after packing trick after trick into his second run, hauling himself above Jeanjean with the final act of the competition. “It’s not easy at all when you’ve been training day-in, day-out for a year and you fall on the first trick, the first run,” Jeanjean said.
