My best friend and I haven't seen one another in person since we last saw each other about two years ago. I think talking on the phone would lead to us feeling less closeI've entertained the idea of making time for regular phone calls, but I think it would lead to us connecting less often. Phone calls that felt obligatory would detract from our ability to be present with our children and husbands. I never liked making phone callsI had a close friend a few years ago who preferred to talk on the phone.
