CNN —Limited Too’s colorful, girly clothing defined childhood for many American Millennials. “The expansion of Limited Too into more sizes is a dream that’s come to life because of our amazing fans. In Limited Too’s case, Classi-Zummo said, it’s more about nostalgia. Limited TooFor many, like Fines, those paths of nostalgia might lead them right back to Limited Too. Limited Too’s capsule, with its playful velour tracksuits and cropped baby-doll tees, certainly plays into that.

The fashion house staged its two runway shows — one in the afternoon, and one at night — at the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI). Anthony Kwan/Getty ImagesDesigned by the brand’s artistic director Virginie Viard, before her departure in June, the collection featured dozens of looks. Anthony Kwan/Getty ImagesThe runway was spread across two floors of the Hong Kong Design Institute. But the label’s decision to restage the presentation in Hong Kong signals the brand’s continued efforts to court Asian clientele amid a wider luxury market slowdown. Anthony Kwan/Getty ImagesBack in June, Viard announced she was exiting Chanel after serving as its artistic director of fashion collections for five years.

CNN —Remember when Lionel Richie, flanked by 1984’s finest pyrotechnics, closed out the LA Olympic Games wearing an entirely beaded jacket? The unforgettable blue and silver beaded jacket he wore to the 1984 Olympics was cropped at the hips, with a silver piping around the collar and sleeves. “When I came into the business the only man in a beaded jacket was Liberace,” Whitten told the LA Times in 1990. “At that particular time, I was launching ‘All Night Long,’ and it just happened to be at the 1984 Olympics, and of course, you just can’t beat the color. Without rule of law, without a peacekeeping force, without humanitarian aid, Gaza will combust and descend into civil chaos. This route is used by both commercial and aid trucks, as well as convoys like the one I am in, transporting aid workers. Palestinians storm trucks loaded with humanitarian aid brought in through a new US-built pier in central Gaza on May 18. They are waiting to ambush aid trucks, but they smile and wave at our far less tempting UN-marked jeeps. A fear of “the war after the war.” Some believe it has started already.

If you lived in Los Angeles in the late 1970s, your choices for an aerobic workout class were truly slim. You could go to Jane Fonda’s studio in Beverly Hills, where everyone breaking a sweat was “feather-to-lightweight,” according to one observer. You could try a few dance studios where the professionally beautiful — actresses, models, media personalities — willed their bodies to become even more so. If building muscle was your goal, you could stop by Gold’s Gym or other palaces of pump, where an almost entirely male clientele strove for hard bodies in the image of Arnold Schwarzenegger. It was against this backdrop of fitness exclusivity that Richard Simmons kicked, shouted and shimmied to the forefront of the workout scene, inviting the people he encountered to move with him — first at his Los Angeles studio and then in their own living rooms, through his home workouts on TV and VHS.

The hallmarks of a state dinner were there: lavish floral displays festooning the White House, the first lady arriving in a floor-length sequined gown, and members of Congress and cabinet secretaries mingling with attendees. But the honored guest was not the president of France or the prime minister of Japan. It was Missy Testerman of Rogersville City School in rural Tennessee. Corny as some moments may be, this is a marvelously deranged pop album. A few minutes into Usher’s dynamic and sly Super Bowl LVIII halftime show performance Sunday night at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas came a moment of uncommon, almost startling calm. Alicia Keys had just appeared, in a sequined red jumpsuit and matching encrusted gown, and rather gratuitously flubbed the opening note of her hit piano ballad “If I Ain’t Got You.”She recovered, and as she approached the end of the chorus, you could hear Usher singing in quiet harmony as the camera panned back, settling on the two of them at opposite ends of Keys’s piano. Usher picked up the final line of the chorus — alone, smooth and confident, almost whispered — before Keys returned to share the last note.
