Wendy’s is releasing a special meal, in honor of the 25th anniversary of the “SpongeBob SquarePants” animated TV series, which includes a “Krabby Patty Kollab” cheeseburger and a “Pineapple Under the Sea” Frosty flavoring at its US and Canadian restaurants for a limited time beginning October 8. The Krabby Patty is the same as a regular cheeseburger but with an additional slice of cheese and a “top-secret” Krabby Kollab sauce, the chain announced Wendnesday. McDonald’s often releases celebrity meals, which features food already on its menu but with a special name, finding financial success with them. Over the last year, a growing number of cinnamon products have been recalled in the U.S. due to high levels of lead. That prompted Consumer Reports to test brands such as Badia, McCormick and Morton & Bassett, along with smaller brands, across 17 mainstream and niche grocery stores. It found high levels of lead in 12 products, with levels reaching 3.5 parts per million. Paras cinnamon powder had the most lead, according to Consumer Reports, containing 3.52 ppm. The FDA has wound down some of its response efforts to its cinnamon applesauce investigation but will continue to monitor other products in stores for high lead levels.

I had to use an immersion blender to make Guy Fieri's sauce. Then the recipe called for minced garlic and ginger, apple-cider vinegar, frozen raspberries, raspberry jam, and molasses. Once it was done cooking, I used an immersion blender to puree the sauce, and then a sieve to catch any raspberry seeds. This part wasn't fun because the sauce was relatively thick, so it took a while to drip through the sieve. And then my sieve broke, so couldn't get every seed out of the sauce, which ended up being fine.

The Iced Energy comes in three flavors, including its most caffeinated flavor, Tropical Citrus, which has 205 milligrams of caffeine, according to Starbucks' website. Panera started phasing out the Charged Lemonade on May 7, and it has denied any wrongdoing, saying it removed the beverage as part of a broader menu transformation. Ground cinnamon sold by U.S. discount retailers is contaminated with high levels of lead and should be discarded, federal health officials said Wednesday. Cinnamon products included in the agency's safety alert include the La Fiesta brand sold by La Superior and SuperMercados; Marcum brand sold by Save A Lot stores; MK brands sold by SF Supermarket; Swad brand sold by Patel Brothers; El Chilar brand sold by La Joya Morelense; and Supreme Tradition brand sold by Dollar Tree and Family Dollar stores. Dollar Tree and Family Dollar stores have removed the cinnamon from their store shelves, a company spokesperson said. No illnesses or other health effects have been reported in connection with the new ground cinnamon alert, the FDA said.
