The specific cruise ship you go on — and the room you're in — can determine what kind of time you have. Research your shipWhen you cruise, the ship is your hotel, your mode of transportation, your restaurants, and oftentimes, it provides professional entertainment, too. Your cruise ship isn't merely a way to get from point A to point B. If you can, avoid a noisy cabin right under the pool or on a deck right above or below the theater." Most cruise drink packages don't begin until you leave ports of call, so you can usually only get included drinks while you're sailing.

"A strong work ethic" is the top skill companies are looking for in new hires, but is one of the hardest to find, according to new research from ADP. As part of its research, ADP surveyed more than 1,500 business owners, senior leaders and hiring managers about their hiring plans and priorities in 2024. Even as conversations about the importance of technical upskilling reach a fever pitch, soft skills emerged as the clear winner. "A strong work ethic" is a nebulous term. As artificial intelligence integrates more into the workforce, soft skills, or people skills, are invaluable assets to professionals, the report notes.

I wanted something different for my daughtersIn the US, individualism really makes it difficult to parent, especially as a single parent. I also wanted safety for all of usAs a gay woman, I wanted to live somewhere where I could have rights, community, and safety. In Portugal, children of all ages are found in restaurants at all hours with their families, and parks have kiosks for parents to enjoy drinks while their children play. There isn't an expectation for single moms to show up as if they aren't single moms. I am grateful that Portugal models other ways of being a parent: prioritizing ourselves, our children, and our time.

Nothing about flying is as exasperating as getting your flight delayed, cancelled or disrupted. Arriving at or departing from a destination on time is one of the most important considerations a traveler takes before deciding whether to book a subsequent flight from the same airline. Latest results from travel data analytics firm Cirium revealed that the most punctual airline last year in the global category was Colombia's Avianca Airlines, which achieved an 85.73% on-time performance rate, followed by Brazil's Azul Airlines (85.51%), which lost its top ranking. A global airline is defined as one that serves in three regions daily, the company said. An airline's on-time performance is calculated by whether the plane arrives at the gate within 15 minutes of the scheduled arrival time and if it departs within 15 minutes of the scheduled departure time.

A job interview doesn't start when the first question is asked — as soon as you walk in the door, your behavior is judged. "Punctuality is the first test of whether or not you're taking this job seriously and can be trusted with the responsibilities of the role," he explains. Arriving too early for a job interview can also be risky. The best time to show up for a job interview is five minutes before the scheduled start time, he says. Opened last December, the Hotel Villa Fontaine Premier & Grand Haneda Airport has 1,717 rooms and is directly connected to Haneda International Airport Terminal 3. Tokyo has also announced plans to receive up to 60 million overseas visitors to the country by 2030. And as inbound tourism recovers, Haneda – which has been crowned the world’s most punctual mega-airport – hopes to ride that wave. Developers want to expand those routes to greater swathes of Japan as part of broader plans to help revitalize the country’s regions, according to Katsuyuki Tou, general manager of the Haneda Airport Garden. Tou explained that visitors to the multipurpose complex can already get a taste of what Japan offers.
