CNN —Harry Kane became the fastest player to score 50 Bundesliga goals as Bayern Munich beat Augsburg 3-0 on Friday. The 31-year-old striker netted all three of Bayern’s goals as the club continued its impressive start to the Bundesliga season. Kane scored twice from the penalty spot before completing his hat-trick with an innovative finish. With time running out, Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka delivered a perfectly weighted cross which found Kane in the Augsburg box.

Ilkay Gundogan, Phil Foden, Erling Haaland and a first Champions League goal for James McAtee saw City get their first win of this year’s competition. Gabriel Martinelli and Thomas Partey missed the ball, but so did Donnarumma and the cross found its way into his net. CNN —French soccer superstar Kylian Mbappé said that there were “things and people that made me unhappy” during his final season at Paris Saint-Germain, in his first comments since his blockbuster move to Real Madrid. Mbappé was speaking at a media conference on Tuesday ahead of France’s friendly against Luxembourg and stressed that his long-expected move to Madrid was a “relief,” while also adding that his final season in Paris was filled with mixed emotions. While saying in general that he was happy in his final season, he went to detail one aspect that did make him unhappy. Real Madrid have been trying to land Kylian Mbappe for years — and now they finally have their man. Several meetings were held on the matter, but some senior figures at Madrid were not convinced it was a good idea. First of all, there were concerns the club’s interests could be damaged again after Mbappe’s rejection two years ago. On February 13, a Tuesday, Real Madrid played away against RB Leipzig in the first leg of a Champions League last-16 tie. In his acceptance speech, he did acknowledge Al-Khelaifi, who in 2021, 2022 and 2023 repeated that his star player would not leave PSG for free.

CNN —Real Madrid announced the signing of French superstar Kylian Mbappé on a five-year deal on Monday, ending one of the longest-running transfer sagas in soccer. Mbappé’s move from Paris Saint-Germain comes two days after Real won a record-extending 15th European Cup with victory over Borussia Dortmund, adding further star quality to the team’s attack. Mbappé wrote on social media shortly after the announcement was made that the move was “a dream come true.”“So happy and proud to join the club of my dream @Real Madrid,” he said alongside a photo of himself when he was younger in a Madrid jacket. He played more than 300 games for the club, scoring his 250th goal in March and winning the Ligue 1 title a month later.
