CNN is reporting only a small portion of Robinson’s comments on the website given their graphic nature. Many of Robinson’s comments on Nude Africa stand in contrast to his public stances on issues such as abortion and transgender rights. I sat there for about an hour and watched as several girls came in and showered,” Robinson wrote on Nude Africa. Writing in a forum discussing Black Republicans in October 2010, Robinson stated unprovoked: “I’m a black NAZI!”That same month, Robinson wrote in another post that he supported the return of slavery. Robinson’s comments on Nude Africa often frequently contained derogatory and racial slurs directed at Black, Jewish and Muslim people.

Famously worn by Beyoncé and Jennifer Aniston, the triangle top was inherently Brat two decades before “Brat girl summer” was officially coined. The triangle spawned offshoots too — its sister, the scarf top, was suggestively tied into a bra by Christina Aguilera. Zillow determined that a family earning a median household income of $6,640 per month can expect to allocate $1,984 of that to childcare. It all adds up to a costly reality that's making the American dream of homeownership seem farther out of reach for parents than ever before. Based on the study, a new buyer household in the United States, making the median income, would spend 30% of it on housing. The upshot: Another group, less encumbered financially, appears better poised to realize the dream of homeownership: "DINKS," an acronym that stands for "dual income, no kids." "I paid $1,750 for rent in a crappy little apartment in California," Crossan told BI earlier this year.

DINKs are proudly emerging as an aspirational class for young people — and they're ready to live it up. So when she set up her dating profile, Johnson included in her bio that she didn't want to have kids of her own. Amy Blackstone, the author of the 2019 book " Childfree by Choice ," said that the financial gap between DINKs and couples with kids wasn't solely because of the choice about children. DINKs, GINKs, " rich aunties ," and DINKWADs — DINKs with a dog — have become aspirational identities for younger generations. There are the DINKs who can seize the American dream and the parents who are struggling to stay afloat in a country without guaranteed paid leave or affordable childcare .

The section closed on Monday “until further notice.”“When people intentionally attract bears with trash and food it can lead to very dangerous situations. The safety tips instruct visitors not to feed bears and to properly store all food. The Blue Ridge Parkway is the most-visited of the National Park Service’s 425 sites, according to 2022 figures. Hiding Behind the Hedges

Robert Frost may have thought good fences make good neighbors, but in Los Angeles, those fences are planted rather than built. “Hedges are a constant in every design I do,” said Brent Green, a veteran landscaper in Los Angeles whose clients include Regina King, Regina Hall and Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne. “You guys are all concrete in Manhattan, and for privacy you have doormen,” he said to a reporter. “But here in Los Angeles, you can live near a freeway, a heavily trafficked street or be right on top of your neighbor, and you’ll still have a backyard. Hedges create privacy and make that a usable space.”Los Angeles is a horizontal city, a sprawling quilt of stitched-together neighborhoods bounded by crags and ocean.

CNN —Attending the 2023 Tony Awards in New York Sunday night, Lupita Nyong’o arrived in timeless formalwear: a sharp black velvet dinner jacket and flared trousers. Nyong’o was wearing a custom breastplate cast and molded on her body by Misha Japanwala, a Pakistani artist and designer whose subversive sculptures are already increasingly attracting an impressive celebrity clientele. (An exhibition of Japanwala’s work is also currently on display at the Hannah Traore art gallery in New York.) Misha Japanwala's work "asks viewers to see the body exactly as it is," the artist writes on her website. Japanwala’s work, however, presents a very different picture.

A Dallas school district distributed Winnie-the-Pooh books about dealing with a school shooter. The book shows the bear telling kids to "run, hide, fight," as per the FBI's recommendations. The Dallas Independent School District did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment, sent outside of working hours. The "run, hide, fight" advice in the book is consistent with the FBI's advice to schools on dealing with an active shooter. Winnie the Pooh has been in the public domain since January 1, 2022, so this is not an official production.
Lurkers beware — a Facebook glitch sent automatic friend requests to profiles that users clicked on. It's every lurker's worst nightmare — checking the Facebook profile of a crush, coworker, or someone they might not necessarily know, only to accidentally send a friend request. Facebook's parent company, Meta, which confirmed the issue to Insider, said the glitch occurred as a result of an update to the Facebook app, which "caused Facebook friend requests to be sent mistakenly." "Well, that would explain why I received a surprise friend request from some dumshit flat-earther I was making fun of," said another. This is the latest bug to plague Facebook users — in August 2022, a "configuration change," spammed users' feeds with celebrity posts.

Physicist Helen Czerski explores the complex science behind familiar phenomena. The birdsong has stepped up a notch, it’s no longer dark when I leave work, and colorful flower buds are peeping out of London’s greenery. Accompanying this cheerful celebration, last week the first fly of the season buzzed in through the window and parked itself on top of a pile of books. Insects are important and I’m happy to share a bit of space with them, but they are astonishingly loud for their size. This one strutted about for a while and disturbed my reading every time it took off.
THE SPRAWLING metropolis of Tokyo can overwhelm visitors with its giddy mix of the old and the fantastically futuristic. Take Ghibli Museum, a must-stop for anime fans. Set within the lush grounds of Inokashira Park, an imperial gift to the city in the Edo era (1603–1867), the candy-colored structure resembles a modernist villa with a kooky robot peeping over its rooftop. During the pandemic, this cosmopolitan city slowed but did not close down, from its super-efficient metro to the eclectic bar scene and revitalized districts, where delicious food awaits the adventurous. “If I had to eat only in one city for the rest of my life, Tokyo would be it,” said Anthony Bourdain in his series “Parts Unknown.” Our four locals agree, and offer their favorite hot spots to explore for dining and much more.
Amazon Ring CEO steps down five years after acquisition
  + stars: | 2023-03-01 | by ( Annie Palmer | ) www.cnbc.com   time to read: +2 min
Jamie Siminoff, the CEO of Amazon subsidiary Ring, is stepping down from the role later this month, the company announced Wednesday. Siminoff will take the role of chief inventor on March 22, and Elizabeth Hamren will succeed him as CEO. In addition to Ring, Hamren will also oversee Amazon Key, the company's in-home delivery service; shared network service Amazon Sidewalk; as well as Blink, another maker of home security cameras that Amazon acquired in 2017. The move comes five years after Amazon acquired Ring for a reported $1 billion in 2018. The program allows police and fire departments to request video footage recorded by Ring cameras.
Saji Daniel and his fiancée, Shannon McGauley, were holed up in their Cleveland-area home amid the pandemic in October 2020 when they got an unexpected call from their neighbor, Lou Keppler. Dr. Keppler was inviting them to visit Foxburg, a small town in Pennsylvania’s picturesque Allegheny River Valley owned by a longtime friend of his. To the couple, it sounded like a nice day of leaf-peeping and an escape from the city. But Dr. Keppler had a secret hope: That Mr. Daniel and Ms. McGauley might buy the town.
