Michelle Lujan Grisham said she will not renew a public health order that temporarily banned carrying firearms in public parks and playgrounds in Albuquerque, the state's largest city. Lujan Grisham said in a news release Wednesday that more than 1,700 firearms were collected in gun buybacks over the past year because of the order. So there’s no way we could enforce that order.”Lujan Grisham issued the temporary order, originally a 30-day ban, in September 2023 after an 11-year-old boy was shot and killed in an Albuquerque park. In addition to restricting firearms in public parks and playgrounds in Bernalillo County, it strengthened oversight of firearm sales and implemented wastewater testing for fentanyl in public schools. Spain's tourism is still booming, with record numbers of international visitors. A travel industry expert said mass protests are unlikely on their own to deter travelers. Threads has added a green dot that shows when you're online. Instead, it's a green dot that signals when you're online. The green dot is turned on by default, but you can turn it off completely, or enable it to be seen only by mutual followers. But do you need a green dot to indicate you're talking about the Mets game or whatever is on Bravo at that moment? I don't imagine the green dot will change the way I engage with people, but I like to lean into the creepiness.

Lonodn CNN —Some toymakers are “flooding” Europe with dangerous toys via online marketplaces, including magnets capable of puncturing a child’s intestines if swallowed and products containing toxic chemicals, according to an industry body. An Amazon spokesperson said the company has “proactive measures in place to prevent unsafe or non-compliant products from being listed” on its site. The EU has the “strictest toy safety regime in the world” but toymakers from outside the bloc are exempt from EU rules when selling their products via online marketplaces, TIE said. In the United States, too, regulators are concerned about the safety of goods sold online. In September, two officials from the Consumer Products Safety Commission called for an investigation into Shein and Temu over the potential sale of “deadly baby and toddler products.”
