“I need hardly say if we start acting on suspicions against every athlete of whatever, then we go down a very bad route,” he said. Adams wouldn’t discuss the letter’s contents but reiterated: “Those tests are not legitimate.”“There was indeed a letter,” he said. Kyiv, Ukraine CNN —World Athletics President Sebastian Coe said he invited Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the Olympics as his personal guest during a surprise visit to Kyiv on Friday. But he’s at odds with the IOC when it comes to their stance on Russian athletes. Following Moscow’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine – supported by Belarus – in February 2022, World Athletics is the only Olympic sports federation to have banned all Russian and Belarussian athletes from elite competition. In the meeting with the Ukrainian president, World Athletics committed to keep providing financial support for the country’s athletes. Coe also stopped by the Ukrainian Athletics Championships in Lviv, the event that determined which athletes will compete in the Olympics.

The shift to New York City spring follows a familiar pattern: skittishly unpredictable weather leading to uncertain modes of dress. But with the rise in temperature, the style of the city often blooms along with it. It’s marvelous to behold; discarding heavy wools for lighter cottons, short skirts and even shorter sleeves. One of the big standouts is the white maxi skirt, a signal of a lightness of mood and fresh possibilities. Finally, a standing ovation for the men, who were impeccably groomed.

CNN —Russian athletes have competed under several different guises throughout the 128-year history of the Olympics, and they will be known by another new name at Paris 2024. Antonin Thuillier/AFP/Getty ImagesHere’s everything you need to know about the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes at the 2024 Olympics. “The sanctions against those responsible for the war, the Russian and Belarusian states and governments, remain in place for the Olympic Games Paris 2024,” the IOC said in a statement. “No flag, anthem, colors or any other identifications whatsoever of Russia or Belarus will be displayed at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 in any official venue or any official function,” the statement continues. Like all other athletes, AINs will need to meet anti-doping requirements to be considered for selection.

There is, after all, still the intriguing possibility that the championship is decided on goal difference for just the second time in the Premier League era. So, for example, if Arsenal beat Everton a single goal, City would need to win by four. Such a close finish would be unprecedented in the Premier League era. If City defeat Spurs but then draw with West Ham, and Arsenal win against Everton, then we are back in goal-difference territory again. Following City’s victory over Fulham on Saturday, Arsenal knew they realistically had to win both their games to have a chance at securing their first Premier League title since the 2003-04 season.

When we saw Everlane's new collection, the messages in our style team's Slack group started flying. As always with Everlane, the thing that took us aback was how brilliantly they executed a collection that turns trendy pieces into ultra-practical staples. But this drop absolutely nailed it by releasing our favorite pieces in organic colors like sage green, sandy brown, and oyster white. Ashley Phillips, former style editor, reviewed Everlane's ReKnit mules and wrote: "This is my first pair of Everlane shoes with the brand's ReKnit material, and I love it! I really like that these mules have a cushioned footbed and a low, sturdy block heel that's easy to wear all day."

NEW YORK (AP) — Shimmer and glimmer with a dash of the majestic was on display Monday as Tory Burch showed her 2024 Fall Winter Collection at New York Fashion week. Inspired by ordinary objects like a lampshade or well-worn coat, Burch set out to redefine the form of her designs with this collection. “I started with the concept of how to make the everyday sublime,” Burch told the Associated Press at a post-show interview. While many of the designs took Burch out of her comfort zone, the one that stood out was the hooded sweater with orange lampshade skirt. Burch says the vibrancy of color juxtaposed with the “beautiful neutral tones” in the collection’s palette.

Mahuchikh won her first world championship title in August, then successfully defended her Diamond League Final victory in September. That’s often a source of anxiety for Mahuchikh, especially when Russian attacks target the eastern city. This year’s Olympics, Mahuchikh believes, will enable Ukrainian athletes to promote a message of peace, though perhaps inevitably, the Games have also become entwined in geopolitics. However, international federations have the first say on whether Russian and Belarusian athletes can qualify for the Olympics. “When I see Russian athletes … I see every city destroyed, every life that was destroyed by Russian people, by the Russian Federation,” she says, adding that she would find it “difficult” to compete against athletes from Russia and Belarus.

The "office siren" corporate aesthetic is taking over TikTok, but it isn't necessarily new. It blends high-fashion corporate looks with '90s and 2000s vintage charm — fitting for Gen Z, which can't get enough of the Y2K era. The office siren look is bold red lips, pencil skirts, stilettos, turtlenecks, chunky jewelry, and tons of neutrals and blacks. She said the office siren aesthetic began taking off around the same time, coincidentally when she decided to post her outfits that aligned with the trend. "The office siren look is something that largely started in the office," Dwyer said.
