I made frequent trips as a college student and after I graduated, but eventually, shopping at Trader Joe's became impractical for me. As someone with ADHD, I'll also admit there were plenty of times I forgot about Trader Joe's frozen meals until they were freezer-burned anyway. The crowding at Trader Joe's is oftentimes too much for meI've shopped at Trader Joe's in many larger cities, including Atlanta and Birmingham, Alabama, and found a similar experience in each — crowded aisles and long lines. New York CNN —Higher prices have gone too far even for salty snacks. PepsiCo’s snack unit Frito-Lay posted a dip in revenue in its second quarter Thursday after multiple quarters of price increases. While inflation has slowed down, American customers still haven’t recovered from higher prices in everyday categories like snacks. Certain products, like unsalted potato chips or tortilla chips, could see a “value reset” and have lower prices, Laguarta said. The company said it would offer broader price tiers, using its variety multipacks that are often cheaper per bag, as an example.

New York CNN —Kraft Heinz is recalling about 83,000 cases of its individually wrapped Kraft Singles American cheese because they might pose a choking hazard. “Kraft Heinz is committed to upholding the highest safety and quality standards and apologizes for this inconvenience,” the company said. They can also call Kraft Heinz at 1-800-280-8252 to get their money back. Earlier this year, Kraft announced that it was changing the packaging on its individually wrapped cheese to make them easier to open. 1 complaint from customers, which has been the “inability to easily open the clear wrapper,” Kraft said.

Kraft Heinz said Tuesday it's recalling more than 83,000 cases of individually-wrapped Kraft Singles American processed cheese slices because part of the wrapper could stick to the slice and become a choking hazard. Kraft Heinz said it initiated the voluntary recall after it received several consumer complaints. In six cases, people said the issue caused gagging or choking, but no injuries or serious health issues have been reported, Kraft Heinz said. The recall affects 16-ounce Kraft Singles American Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product with a “Best When Used By” date between Jan. 10, 2024, and Jan. 27, 2024. Consumers who bought those products should not consume them and should return them to the store where they were purchased for an exchange or a refund, Kraft Heinz said.
