In a video addressing the incident Monday, the couple sat down and told viewers this assumption was false. A spokesperson for Matt and Abby Howard declined to add further comment. In her weekend Instagram story, Abby Howard had written that it “became apparent” her young boys weren’t enjoying the cruise, which made it so that she and her husband couldn’t either. In their video on Monday, Abby Howard thanked those online who expressed worry for their children’s safety.
