Apple reportedly pulled the plug on its decade-long EV project last month. Though we'll never see an Apple Car, we might have some insight into what could've been. Different designs for the car looked like a Volkswagen Microbus or a Canoo Lifestyle Vehicle, Bloomberg reports. Several designs for the car alternately took inspiration from the Volkswagen Microbus of yesteryear and the futuristic Canoo Lifestyle Vehicle, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported Sunday. Probably only Americans of a certain age remember when the Volkswagen Beetle was the best-selling imported car in the United States and the hippest ride to a Grateful Dead concert was a Volkswagen Microbus. Volkswagen is trying to tap some of that nostalgia in its latest push to regain the status and sales it enjoyed in the United States during the Beetle’s and Microbus’s heydays in the 1960s. But this time it hopes its top models will be electric. The German carmaker is second only to Toyota globally but is a niche player in the United States. Part of its plan to revive its fortunes here is to lean on a new electric model that resembles the Microbus, the ID.Buzz, and to revive the Scout brand with a line of electric pickups and sport utility vehicles.

"With the T4 generation, the VW bus left the USA and Canada 20 years ago. But the microbus – as the VW bus is called between New York and San Francisco – has retained its cult status right up to the present day," Volkswagen said in a statement. Buzz vehicles for the North American market will be built at Volkswagen's plant in Hanover, Germany, the company said, adding batteries could be charged from 10%-80% in 25 minutes at available rapid charging stations.

Un ambuteiaj infernal în zona Gării s-a format în această dimineaţă după ce două maşini n-au împărţit drumul. Gagarin – strada Albișoara – bulevardul D. Cantemir, generând un ambuteiaj infernal. Pe 7 iunie în jurul orei 23:30 un microbus s-a tamponat cu un automobil la intersecția străzilor Ion Luca Caragiale și Nicolae Bălcescu. În urma tamponării automobilul a intrat în peretele unei case. După tamponarea cu microbus, automobilul a intrat în gardul unui domiciliul. În urma accidentului din fericire nimeni nu au suferit, conducătorii auto fiind testați cu aparatul Drager, s-a stabilit că concentrația de alcool în aerul respirat la șoferul microbusului este 0 mg/l. iar șoferul automobilului avea 0,41 mg/l de alcool în aerul liber expirat.

La fața locului polițiștii au stabilit că în accident este implicat un microbus Mercedes R-103 condus de un bărbat în vârstă de 53 de ani și o mașină Kia condusă de un șofer de 39 ani. Ulterior la spitalul de urgență s-a adresat o pasageră din microbuz pentru ingrijiri medicale, pe caz a fost inițiată o anchetă în stabilirea tuturor circumstanțelor. În dependență de leziunile corporale șoferul care v-a fi găsit vinovat risca 6 puncte de penalizare și 1500 lei amendă.
