Barry Diller suggested Elon Musk endorsed Donald Trump due to "rejection" by the Biden administration. AdvertisementBarry Diller thinks Elon Musk is backing Donald Trump because he's bitter about being rejected by the Democrats, the billionaire told the "Fire and Fury" podcast. "Why he has gone this way, I think, is out of some weird bitterness and rejection by the current administration," Diller told presenters Michael Wolff and James Truman. Musk was once a supporter of Joe Biden, but the pair have often sparred verbally since Biden took office in 2021. At The New York Times' DealBook Summit the same month, Musk told departing advertisers to "go fuck yourself."

CHARLY TRIBALLEAU / Getty ImagesThe Democrats seem to be using De Niro's feud against Trump again this year ahead of the 2024 elections. "Trump wants revenge, and he'll stop at nothing to get it." De Niro claimed in his speech that Trump wants to destroy New York, America, and the world. "I never knew how small, both mentally and physically, Wacko Former Actor Robert De Niro was," Trump wrote on Wednesday.

CNN —After months of either ignoring or poking fun at former President Donald Trump’s criminal trial, the Biden campaign on Tuesday decided for the first time to stage a news conference about Trump’s record outside the courthouse where closing arguments were taking place. In their view, Trump’s trial would speak for itself, reintroducing the former president and the chaos that surrounds him to voters who may have tuned him out. “The entire news media is camped out here, day in and day out,” campaign communications director Michael Tyler said, explaining the choice to address reporters outside the lower Manhattan courthouse. Biden campaign officials are still grappling with the reality, this person said, that a substantial part of the population still doesn’t see that the choice on Election Day will be between Biden and Trump. “We knew Trump was out of control when he was president,” De Niro says over a shot of Trump behind the Resolute Desk.

NEW YORK (AP) — FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried's orchestration of one of history's largest financial frauds in his quest to dominate the cryptocurrency world deserves a prison sentence of 40 to 50 years, federal prosecutors on Friday told a federal judge. “His life in recent years has been one of unmatched greed and hubris; of ambition and rationalization; and courting risk and gambling repeatedly with other people’s money. And even now Bankman-Fried refuses to admit what he did was wrong,” prosecutors wrote. Bankman-Fried was extradited to the United States in December 2022 from the Bahamas after his companies collapsed a month earlier. “Even following FTX’s bankruptcy and his subsequent arrest, Bankman-Fried shirked responsibility, deflected blame to market events and other individuals, attempted to tamper with witnesses, and lied repeatedly under oath,” prosecutors said, citing his trial testimony.

I asked some of those who first warned about the dangers Trump poses what their views are now. At times it seems as if he cannot control himself or his hateful speech. We need to wonder if these are the precursors of a major deterioration in his character defenses. In recent months, Trump has continued to add to the portrait Glass paints of him. At the California Republican Convention on Sept. 29, Trump told the gathering that under his administration shoplifters will be subject to extrajudicial execution: “We will immediately stop all the pillaging and theft.

That, you may recall, was when Donald Trump’s emergence as the Republican presidential nominee seemed like some cosmic joke. And yet some Democrats are again rejoicing at the prospect of Trump as his party’s pick. The stakes of a second Trump term are much, much too high to wager on his weakness and hope for his nomination. And the circumstances in November 2024 are neither predictable nor controllable — just as they weren’t in November 2016. If Trump is in the running, Trump is in the running.

George Conway says Trump is bound to lose in 2024. He said "too many Americans would crawl on broken glass to vote against" Trump in 2024. His narcissism, his megalomania, his delicate yet illimitable ego, would have it no other way," Conway wrote. Conway wrote that the former president is likely seeking "vengeance" amid a brimming docket of lawsuits and criminal investigations. In October, Conway told CNN he was sure Trump would run for president again in an attempt to fend off his legal troubles.
