An Arizona man has been arrested after he allegedly posted videos online that showed him brandishing an AR-15-style rifle and threatening to kill President-elect Donald Trump and members of Trump's family, authorities said. Manuel Tamayo-Torres posted videos on a "near-daily basis" in which he accused Trump and the president-elect's family members of kidnapping and sex-trafficking his children, according to charging documents filed in federal court in Arizona. The documents don't identify Trump by name but they describe "Individual 1" as a former president and current president-elect. Tamayo-Torres also posted a video on Nov. 21, saying Trump's "whole family is going to die," according to the charging documents. Last year, he was served with an order of protection by his ex-wife, the court documents say.

CNN —An Arizona man was arrested Monday after allegedly threatening to kill President-elect Donald Trump in a series of Facebook videos, including one in which he appears to hold up an AR-15-style rifle, according to court documents. Court documents did not directly identify Trump, only referring to him as “Individual 1.” Court documents identify “Individual 1” as a public figure, former president and the current president-elect. Last Thursday, according to court documents, Tamayo-Torres said in a video posted on Facebook, “[Individual 1] you’re gonna die, [Individual 1], your son’s gonna die. Tamayo-Torres posted a video on August 23 from Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, where Trump held an afternoon rally. During the rally, Trump said he will create an independent commission to investigate assassination attempts while mentioning the attempt to assassinate him at a July 13 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

CNN —Dozens of people detained during protests over Venezuela’s disputed presidential election have been released, according to the local rights group Foro Penal. Video footage from outside one of the prisons shows some of those released hugging loved ones surrounded by cheering crowds. Human Rights Watch has said there are “credible” reports of 24 people being killed during the crackdown on the protests. Jesús Manuel Martínez Medina, a member of the opposition party Vente Venezuela, was detained on August 2 and had been in hospital since October 11. But tens of thousands of tallies published by the opposition suggested a win for opposition leader Edmundo Gonzalez.

Some of the biggest stars in Latin music will gather Thursday for the 25th anniversary of the Grammys in Miami — a hub of Latin American culture and the headquarters of the Latin Recording Academy. An investigation from DePaul University and the Chicago Police Department is underway after two Jewish students who were visibly showing their support for Israel were attacked on the university’s Lincoln Park campus. “We will continue to do everything possible to ensure DePaul is a safe and welcoming space for every member of our diverse university community. We recognize that for a significant portion of our Jewish community, Israel is a core part of their Jewish identity. Our shared expectations and guiding principles make it clear that DePaul will not tolerate any acts of hatred or violence,” a statement DePaul University president Robert L. Manuel said. CNN —In late August, a container vessel sailed out of Angola’s Port of Lobito carrying railway operator Lobito Atlantic Railway’s first shipment of copper from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to the US. That’s about 30 days faster than a road journey, according to Francisco Franca, the CEO of Lobito Atlantic Railway (LAR), a consortium of firms that took over operations of the railway in January.
