CNN —If the idea of spending three years on a cruise ship made you claustrophobic, it’s time to look away now. There will now be seven potential start locations in the first year of the cruise, which departs Istanbul on November 1. Life at Sea CruisesHolmes says the new system shouldn’t affect the company’s policy to sell only 85% capacity. The new policy is the latest change in what has been a baptism of fire for Life at Sea. While they aren’t the first to offer permanent (or semi-permanent) cruises, Life at Sea remains the only (relatively) affordable option for long-term cruising, says Holmes.

Since the November night in 1963 when the Cinerama Dome opened its doors with the premiere of “It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World” — drawing Milton Berle, Buddy Hackett and Ethel Merman to the sidewalks of Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood — the theater, and the multiplex that later rose around it, has been a home for people who liked to watch movies and people who liked to make movies. Its distinctive geodesic dome, memorialized by Quentin Tarantino in the 2019 film “Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood,” has become more retro than futuristic over the years, a reminder of a Technicolor past. Yet through it all, the complex known as the ArcLight Hollywood remained a cinephile favorite, with no commercials, no latecomers admitted and ushers who would, after introducing the upcoming show, promise to stay behind to make sure the sound and picture were “up to ArcLight standards.”But today the ArcLight Hollywood is closed, both a victim of the coronavirus pandemic and a symbol of a movie industry in turmoil, even in its own backyard. “There was nothing like the ArcLight — I was really surprised they closed,” said Amy Aquino, an actor who played Lt. Grace Billets in the television show “Bosch” and who had been drawn by the theater’s serious approach to moviegoing since seeing “Sideways” there in 2004.

SYDNEY, March 3 (Reuters) - Hannah Diviney, diagnosed with cerebral palsy at birth, is hoping Walt Disney Co (DIS.N) will create a princess character with disabilities, spearheading a campaign that has garnered support from Reese Witherspoon, Jameela Jamil and Mark Hamill. "The campaign is basically to create a disabled Disney princess and the reason for that specifically is because Disney princesses are the ones that get the most visibility," Diviney told Reuters in an interview. Diviney began an online campaign for Disney to create a princess character with disabilities in 2020 and the petition has now received 64,000 signatures. Diviney last year called out Beyonce and Lizzo on Twitter for using 'spaz', a derogatory term for spastic diplegia, in their songs. Cerebral palsy affects a person's ability to move and maintain posture, affecting around 0.1% of Australia's near 26 million population.
MILAN, Feb 15 (Reuters) - The number of bank branches in Italy is set to shrink to around 16,000 in 2029 from 22,000 last year, consultancy Deloitte said on Wednesday, as customers increasingly embrace digital banking. In a report on banks' digital progress, Deloitte forecast online banking would reach a penetration of 60% in Italy over the next seven years, from 45% in 2022. The company ranks lenders on a scale ranging from 'digital latecomers' to 'digital champions', based on its Digital Banking Maturity (DBM) score. Overall, Italian banks' DBM improved from the previous ranking in 2018 with two lenders, whose identity was not disclosed, classed as digital champions. Deloitte said this was thanks to a wide range of digital services which clients deem relevant and a better than peers' digital experience for users.

Servers are confusing, because Mastodon isn't really one website. The list of server URLs can be overwhelming. Because it's decentralized, the app isn't really one site like Twitter, but a collection of servers, like multiple kids stacked under a Mastodon trench coat. Most of the big accounts are on general servers like "mastodon.social," but when I tried to join it, it wasn't letting anybody else in. I eventually settled for "mas.to," another general server with about 100,000 users.
Political candidates are facing an expensive enemy this election season: paper shortages. Distributors and printers told Insider that the cost of paper has risen anywhere between 10% to 60%. Political candidates use paper for a plethora of marketing materials, including mailers, posters, lawn signs, flyers, and, envelopes — and jurisdictions across the country also use paper for ballots. The majority of campaigns did not reply or declined to comment, but Republican candidates who responded universally blamed President Joe Biden for the paper shortage. The real reason for the shortageMilligan told Insider there's been a 40% reduction in paper consumption during the last 10 years.
