The father said he questioned whether he could go on after Susan Smith killed their sons. Susan Smith’s attorney, Tommy A. Thomas, did not respond to a request for comment before or after Wednesday’s parole hearing. The parole board really listens to that,” said Hayden Smith, who conducts research for the state’s department of corrections and has interviewed Susan Smith while incarcerated. The South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services Public Information Director Anita Dantzler speaks during a news conference after a parole hearing for Susan Smith on Wednesday.

But many Syracuse residents feel that a potential threat to their health is being ignored. “This is morally outrageous.”City officials say that more than 14,000 homes receive water from lead pipes, which comprises about a quarter of residences citywide. In Syracuse, officials say there is no lead in the lake that provides drinking water to residents. That’s faster than EPA guidelines that call for lead pipes to be replaced within a decade. Activists hope Syracuse officials will learn lessons from the Flint water crisis, during which almost 30,000 children drank and bathed in lead-laced water before the EPA stepped in.

A defamation case against Kari Lake brought by Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer has been settled, representatives for both parties confirmed Sunday to NBC News. Richer, a Republican, filed a claim in June 2023 saying that Lake falsely accused him of "intentionally sabotaging the election" after she lost the 2022 Arizona governor's race. Richer sought nominal, compensatory and punitive damages in unspecified amounts. "We are pleased" the case has been settled, Lake’s lawyer Dennis Wilenchik said, noting that the settlement's terms "are confidential." After the election, Lake falsely accused Richer of having "sabotaged" Election Day.

And by the way, I do believe that President Trump has the ability to pick some really, really good people. We've seen what they've done to President Trump, we've seen the attacks that they continue to go after him with. That's - that’s being taken completely out of context. And President Trump hasn't been the one that weaponized the DOJ to go after his political enemies. This Arthur was played by Clive Owen in the 2004 film, “King Arthur,” alongside Keira Knightley as Guinevere. The sixth-century “Artognou stone," discovered in 1998, has linked Tintagel with King Arthur for some scholars, though others dismiss it. As for Latino men, Trump won them by 12 points nationally, marking a stunning 35-point swing from 2020 that powered him to victory in key states, according to NBC News' exit polls. But Gallego held his ground with Latino men, winning them by 30 points, exit polls showed. Men — Latino men — were feeling very insecure about their positions in the family because they wanted to make sure that they’re providers and providing security and economic security. He outperformed Harris among voters who cited the economy as their top concern, exit polls showed, and covered off the vulnerability that sank many Democrats, including Harris.
