Of the 14 systems tested by the agency, 11 earned a “poor” rating including Tesla’s Autopilot and so-called Full Self Driving systems. Insurance Institute test drivers also looked at what would happen if the driver became incapacitated with the automated driving system in use. Of the systems tested, only GM’s Super Cruise handled that sort of situation the proper way, according to the Institute. Manhattan prosecutors explored several options for criminally charging Donald Trump, including indicting the former president under a state racketeering statute, before the effort ended in “the legal equivalent of a plane crash,” a former top prosecutor wrote in a new book. Mark Pomerantz, a former federal prosecutor who joined the Trump probe after retiring from law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, wrote that when he left the district attorney’s office this past year, he believed that Mr. Trump had committed serious crimes and that prosecutors had evidence on which a jury could have found the former president guilty. Mr. Pomerantz wrote that he ultimately resigned from his post after what he viewed was a rushed and inattentive examination of the case by the current district attorney, Alvin Bragg .

GM’s Super Cruise, which ranked second, is the only other system tested by Consumer Reports that works this way. Ford’s driver monitoring technology is one of the major reasons that BlueCruise ranked so highly in Consumer Reports’ testing. Kia and Genesis did not immediately respond to requests from CNN Business for comments on Consumer Reports’ assessments. For the most part, vehicle owner’s manuals were of little use in learning how to use the systems, Consumer Reports said.

The attorney, Office of Government Ethics General Counsel David Apol, missed deadlines to report at least 12 different bond transactions since 2015. Improperly reporting purchases and sales of bonds or stocks is a violation of the 2012 Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act, or STOCK Act. Officials are only required to report transactions in broad ranges. Democratic Rep. Abigail Spanberger of Virginia has been one of the lead proponents in Congress of reforming the STOCK Act. Congress this year discussed changes to the STOCK Act and the US House even held a hearing following the publication of "Conflicted Congress."
