On Holding's momentum shows no signs of slowing, according to investment firm BTIG. Analyst Janine Stichter upgraded the running shoemaker to buy from neutral and set her price target at $64, which implies 21.6% upside from Tuesday's close. "Wholesale sell-through remains strong, and our checks at run specialty suggest continued share gains, which we see ultimately flowing back to [direct-to-consumer]." Stichter's call joins 18 other strong buy or buy ratings among analysts on the Street covering the name, while the remaining four have taken a neutral stance, per LSEG. Its average target of $52.93 also reflects marginal upside ahead.

In fiscal 2022 and 2023 combined, Disney's experiences unit, which houses the parks, generated 67.5% of the company's operating income. That represents a significant deceleration in growth from its first and second quarters, when operating income rose 8% and 12%, respectively. Nispel argued that negative sentiment around Disney's theme parks performance could be a reason to have less conviction on the stock in the near term. The more excitement around its movies, the more interest in everything from theme parks to streaming services to branded merchandise. Operating income, in particular, rose more than $350 million year over year to $254 million.

DuPont's water business DuPont is considered a leader in purification and specialty-separation technologies that generates cleaner water for industries, governments, and communities. Arun Viswanathan, analyst at RBC Capital Markets, characterizes Dupont's water business' next-generation products as being "at the top of the technology pyramid." Dupont's water business is the smallest of the three companies that will be created by the breakup. As this exercise shows, DuPont's water business as a standalone firm would certainly deserve that compared to some. Coterra Energy Why we own it: Formed by the merger of Cabot Oil & Gas and Cimarex, Coterra Energy is an exploration-and-production company with a high-quality, diversified asset portfolio. In addition, we were pleased to see Coterra raise its full-year oil production outlook without moving its capex guidance. Coterra's mix of oil and natural gas acreage gives it the flexibility to adjust its drilling focus. However, the oil guide was higher and natural gas production was lighter than anticipated. As many American companies struggle to navigate the world's second-largest economy, Meta Platforms has found itself raking in billions of dollars from China without the direct challenges of doing business there. The influx in spending from Chinese ecommerce advertisers has been a "significant positive" for Meta, said Rohit Kulkarni, analyst at Roth MKM covering internet companies. Many American companies doing business in China have battled similar challenges as the post-Covid recovery there has progressed slower than expected. Meta has said it has a "diverse advertiser base" of Chinese companies. The concern is that as more Chinese advertisers target American consumers through Meta's platforms, that could drive up the price of ads for everyone.

Club holding Wells Fargo will post quarterly results on Friday, followed by our other financial holding, Morgan Stanley, on Tuesday. In theory, higher borrowing costs mean Wells Fargo can generate more money from those interest-earning assets, but it's not that simple. It's hard to say with the fluid inflation and rate expectations whether Wells Fargo might change its NII outlook when it reports on Friday. Wells Fargo also has a key long-term growth prospect in the potential removal of its $1.9 trillion Fed-imposed asset cap. A woman walks past Wells Fargo bank in New York City, U.S., March 17, 2020.
