But back on the ground, one airport in New Zealand is implementing a maximum time just three minutes for loved ones to say goodbye to their relatives with a hug. 3 minutes max,” one of a series of signs at Dunedin Airport on the country's South Island says. It is an airport and those drop off locations are common locations for farewells” he told Radio New Zealand (RNZ) earlier this month. Recognizing that the signage had “caused quite a stir” he said that the signs were designed to keep drop-off zones moving at the airport. “It’s about enabling others to have hugs.”NBC News has reached out to De Bono and the airport for comment.

Our day care fee was the same whether we sent them or whether we took vacation. My office was closed for a week, but their day care was open, I chose to send them and relax. Our day care facility charged a monthly fee that stayed the same every month, even if we chose to keep the kids out of day care for family vacations or other activities. Solo travel is my secret to a healthy marriage. Solo travel allows me to slow down and remove the power that life's demands can have. When I travel solo, I am forced to sit with myself and examine things that are boiling under the surface. It could also be said that we have both developed new love languages thanks to solo travel; it has created new ways for us to connect. Rather than fend off questions like my coworker's, I smile to myself because solo travel is my secret to a happy marriage.

“So far, the labor market has adjusted slowly, and the unemployment rate has only edged up. The industries that were most likely to advertise part-time work as of May were beauty and wellness; personal care and home health; retail; food preparation and service; and sports, Indeed said. During the Great Recession from 2007 to 2009, part-time work rose sharply, according to research from the San Francisco Fed. “There was this rise in part-time work when the economy and the labor market were doing well coming out of the pandemic,” Culbertson told CNN. For the last two years, we've sent our 10-year-old son to sleepaway camp in California — 3,000 miles and a six-hour flight from our home in New York. The East Coast isn't lacking for overnight camps: camp culture here is stronger than in any other part of the country. Our children are lucky to have first cousins the same ages as them — and unlucky to live a continent apart. An entire summer apart? But it's no less true for modern parents fortunate enough to ship their kids off to summer camp or for their kids.

When we had our house built, my wife and I decided to have separate bathrooms, and it worked great. I'm now trying to convince her that there are also benefits to having separate bedrooms. Before you start thinking I am too far outside the box on this one, separate bedrooms for married couples is, indeed, a growing trend. Most of my college friends are scattered across the country, so I largely have long-distance pals. I felt anticipatory loneliness when some college friends came to town for a weekend — all of them long-distance friends, as many of mine are. Whenever I meet someone my age in person, they're quick to tell me that they're lonely as well. It has lessened with joining volunteer cohorts, going to yoga classes, and scheduling regular phone calls with those close long-distance friends. I've started to appreciate them that much more when I get to see them — virtually or in person.

CNN —The Republican presidential debates have so far produced two big winners – one who will be center stage Wednesday in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for the fourth GOP matchup, and another who won’t be there at all. The good news for Haley is that she is now running neck-and-neck for second place with the formerly formidable Florida Gov. In skipping the debates, Trump wagered that without his oversized presence, his opponents would primarily train their fire on each other. With Trump absent, Haley, who thus far has mostly eluded frontal attacks, is more likely to get frontrunner treatment from her rivals on Wednesday night. Chris Christie, the most outspoken critic of Trump in the Republican field, also hopes to make New Hampshire a breakthrough moment.

During the interview, Mr. Malik told Ms. Cooper that around the time of his departure, the bandmates were beginning to clash. “We’d been together every day for five years and we’d got sick of each other, if we’re being completely honest,” Mr. Malik said, adding: “I look back on it now in a much fonder light than I would’ve as I’d just left. “I don’t want to go into too much detail, but there was a lot of politics going on. Some people didn’t want to sign contracts, so I knew something was happening,” he said. In response, Mr. Malik said he believed that the issue should stay within the family.

Stripping out volatile energy prices - a measure the central bank is looking closely at - underlying inflation was 8.4% on the year. For headline inflation, analysts had forecast 7.9%, the same as the Riksbank. Underlying inflation was seen by analysts at 8.7% and at 8.6% by the Riksbank. Another quarter-point hike is expected in June or September, before the tightening cycle comes to an end. Policy-makers said they were ready to rethink the plan if price pressures did not fall back as expected.
Sweden's central bank raised its policy rate by half a percentage point to 3.50% in line with market forecasts on Wednesday and said it was nearly done with policy tightening. While the half-percentage point hike was in line with forecasts, markets cut their expectations of where the Riksbank policy rate will peak to around 3.75% from close to 4.0% prior to the decision. The dovish tilt in policy was underlined by two of the five rate-setters voting for a smaller hike this time. Deputy Governors Martin Floden and Anna Breman wanted a quarter point hike with the flexibility to hike more or less later this year. The central bank said it would continue to focus on new data in determining policy ahead and uncertainty remains high.
Warren Buffett has grown even fonder of his favorite Japanese trading houses, hiking his already-large investments and teasing of more to come. Berkshire Hathaway raised its stakes in five Japanese trading houses — Mitsubishi Corp. , Mitsui & Co ., Itochu Corp. , Marubeni and Sumitomo — all to 7.4%. Buffett will appear live from Japan on CNBC's "Squawk Box" on Wednesday from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. The five trading houses — roughly akin to a conglomerate structure, just like Berkshire— seem to check every box of Buffett's stock-picking criteria. In light of expectations for tighter policy, BlackRock , the world's largest asset manager, last month cut Japanese stocks to "underweight."
