Read previewTwo female extras who spoke out about Francis Ford Coppola's behavior on the set of "Megalopolis" have shared markedly different accounts of working with the filmmaker. However, according to one of the actors in the video, Coppola "did nothing to make me or for that matter anyone on set feel uncomfortable." "He was nothing but professional, a gentleman, he was like this cute Italian grandfather, running around the set," Menz added. Advertisement"I don't appreciate anybody speaking for me," Pagone told Variety on August 2 in reaction to Menz's comments. However, he previously addressed the Guardian report in an interview with The New York Times published in June, before the set video leaked.

Before starting Mercato, Warnock bought a large stake in a chemical-distribution business and made his first few millions in the acquisition. For an aspiring investor in Silicon Slopes, Mercato Partners seemed the place to be. They say the complaints from female Mercato employees are emblematic of religious and social norms that place women in the home. It will be the 22nd time that CBS has carried the Super Bowl, which is the most among the four broadcast networks. Cohen said CBS analyst Jay Feely, who kicked in the NFL for 14 seasons, also gave his input on where to position the cameras. The upright cameras are part of 165 cameras CBS has for Sunday. There are also 23 augmented reality cameras that both CBS and Nickelodeon will use. While various bells and whistles, like AR, are nice, they also have to be used for the right reasons, which Cohen sees with the Nickelodeon broadcast.

He also teased a connection between that mysterious black shard and a certain Jedi weapon. In Season 1, the aliens crawling over Earth were lethal shape-shifting beasties. Yeah, we called them the worker aliens in Season 1. We see a few of them in Season 2, and they are evolved or enhanced into the hunter-killer aliens. They are organic, they are bioengineered — so they’re both organic and inorganic.

Leaving the office for dead may haunt investors

Those moves may herald a requirement for a return to a five-day office week. Average office attendance is only 35%, according to AWA, a consultancy that studied companies in 22 countries during April and May of 2023. Still, a mass exodus of tenants is unlikely as office leases in financial districts like London’s Canary Wharf have around 10 years left. But investors fear that once leases come up for renewal, companies will cull space. If bosses have it their way, office stocks may come back from the dead.

Gen Z employees entered the workforce amid a time of understanding and empathy from managers. As some of these empathetic values fizzle out, Gen Zers are fighting for them to stay. "The response to that was her opening up about her mental health, which I did not expect," Ang said of her boss. Ang is one of many Gen Z employees advocating for themselves on the job — whether it be over flexible schedules, mental-health support, or meaningful work. Many Gen Zers, whose oldest members are now 26, entered the workforce amid COVID-19 lockdowns and a wave of social-justice movements.

On Monday, the court was shown a recorded police interview with the first of the alleged victims. Describing himself a "man's man", the accuser recounted that he had threatened to knock the actor out if he did it again, to which Spacey had replied "that's such a turn on to me". Dr. Chatbot will see you now

Almost invariably, the chatbot answers were rated as three or four times as reliable as the ones from the poor wee humans. But here's the most striking part: The chatbot answers, on average, were rated seven times as empathetic as the ones from humans. It's as if the unfeeling android Mr. Data figured out how to convincingly emulate Dr. Crusher's comforting bedside manner. Give those medical chatbots access to people's individual medical records, and they could offer more precisely directed advice. Healthcare AI startups will want the cheapest versions with the most financial bang, which won't necessarily have the best patient outcomes.

Chief amazement officers, chief heart officers, and chief empathy officers are popping up across companies. They also found that titles like chief people officer and chief happiness officer were gaining in use. If you thought home's where the heart is, think again, because the workplace now has a chief heart officer. Sometimes the chief heart officer exists in addition to the head of human resources, a role that is increasingly called, more humanistically, the chief people officer. Claude Silver, the chief heart officer at VaynerMedia and self-proclaimed "first chief heart officer," told Forbes in 2017 that she was "here to be of service" to her staff.
The Race to Build the ‘Yellowstone’ Universe

FEELY, Mont.—Helen Mirren had her shoes off and her feet propped close to a hissing propane heater. With co-stars Harrison Ford and Timothy Dalton she was huddled in a nook of a hollow building, a film set that looked like a stately stone-and-timber lodge on a snowy hill outside Butte, Mont. The actors were keeping warm while running dialogue for an outdoor scene they had tried in vain to shoot two days earlier, when subzero temperatures made it impossible for them to enunciate their lines. It was early December, winter was bearing down, and a premiere date was looming in two weeks for “1923,” a big-budget TV series saddled with two mandates. The first: to pull audiences deeper into the stories linked to the most-watched series on television, “Yellowstone.” The second: to do so on deadline as Paramount Global , the company behind “Yellowstone,” races to capitalize on the show’s popularity and fix a major gap in its streaming-television inventory.
She left Wall Street to pursue her passion during the Great Resignation. I left my job at Goldman Sachs to pursue my lifelong dream of being an author. In my last few years at the firm, I had an uncommonly good work-life balance for Wall Street, logging only about fifty hours a week. In the midst of the rejections and self-doubt in the years leading up to the book deals, I was grateful for my Wall Street job. In my first job at Goldman, I'd been the only woman investor on my NYC team of twenty men.
The popular course "Interpersonal Dynamics" was nicknamed "Touchy Feely" by professors and students. Stanford GSB shared with Business Insider that 95% of Stanford GSB students take this beloved course, even though it's not required. Courtesy of Ian CinnamonCinnamon added that now, whenever he's in any difficult situation, it's become "instinct" to think back to what he learned from the "Touchy Feely" course. "'Touchy Feely' has been influential in much of our work at Impact Experience," she said. "'Touchy Feely' and the courses in leadership that build from its approach … helped me develop the tools I now employ on a daily basis."
