President-elect Donald Trump has called for cutting the corporate tax rate – and a slate of companies could stand to benefit, according to an analysis from Wolfe Research. That would be a reduction from the current corporate tax rate of 21%. A corporate tax rate of 18% would increase S & P 500 earnings per share by $5, while a 15% rate would lift earnings per share by $10, he said. If you're a Microsoft 365 user, this Monday may have been a little more frustrating for you than usual. The product family of software announced early Monday morning that it is investigating an issue impacting Exchange Online and Microsoft Teams users. Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook and Teams, are heavily relied on by many places of work around the world. In an afternoon update, Microsoft 365 said it is “facing delays” in its effort to address the issues. An infant has died and 10 adults have been sickened amid a four-state listeria outbreak connected to ready-to-eat meat products, officials said. The outbreak has been tied to ready-to-eat meat produced by Yu Shang Food, Inc. of Spartanburg, South Carolina, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said in an update Friday. The infant who died was a twin whose sibling also died but whose death could not be linked to listeria. Of the eight people sickened, seven shopped at markets where Yu Shang Food products are sold, and two said they recalled eating Yu Shang Food chicken, the CDC update said. “This suggests that people in this outbreak got sick from the same food,” the CDC said in its update.

About 167,000 pounds of both fresh and frozen ground beef products have been recalled over possible E. coli contamination, according to the the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). Fifteen people were reported sick as of Nov. 20, with symptoms beginning between Nov. 2 and Nov. 10. That same day, the FSIS said in a press release, the Minnesota Department tested a ground beef sample from Wolverine Packing Co. and found that it contained a strain of harmful bacteria called E. coli O157:H7. The FSIS provided a list of all affected products and images of every product label that is part of the recall. E. coli O157:H7 is the same strain of bacteria linked to onions in some McDonald’s Quarter Pounders in October.

CNN —Boar’s Head will close the Virginia plant that produced deli meat products tied to a deadly listeria outbreak, the company said on Friday. The move is part of several changes made after what it called a “dark moment in our company’s history.” Boar’s Head said it will permanently discontinue sales of liverwurst after an investigation found its production process was the root cause of the listeria contamination. It will also appoint a new food safety officer and food safety council made up of independent industry experts. But a USDA Notice of Suspension for the Virginia facility, shared by Boar’s Head, describes “inadequate controls” that allowed equipment and employees to move throughout the facility, potentially spreading bacteria. The agency called it the largest listeria outbreak since one linked to cantaloupe in 2011.
