From 2008 through 2020, the winning candidate either swept or nearly swept the final six to eight battleground states. Are we still under-sampling Trump voters? Then again, is Trump’s improvement in the polls this cycle an indication the polling community finally got it right on the Trump vote? In 2020, the Trump campaign was the only one knocking on doors during Covid, as the Biden campaign feared scaring its supporters at the doors. The Harris campaign appears invested in doing traditional get-out-the-vote programs in all sorts of places.

U.S. equity futures jumped as investors looked for a batch of megacap technology earnings to keep driving the Nasdaq Composite to new heights this week. Weekend airstrikes by Israel against Iran did not target oil or nuclear facilities as was feared and oil futures were lower in early trading. S&P 500 futures gained 0.4% and Nasdaq 100 futures increased by 0.5%. Both the Dow and S&P snapped a six-week winning streak, but the Nasdaq eked out its seventh positive week in a row. "One thing we expect to see play out is these megacap tech names continuing to reinforce commitment to AI in tech spending broadly," Yung-Yu Ma chief investment officer at BMO Wealth Management, told CNBC.

In an era where college-educated voters have been bleeding out of the GOP, Schweikert is increasingly an outlier, and he knows it. In order to keep looking like his district, Schweikert — a one-time conservative rabble-rouser who rode his way into Congress during the 2010 Tea Party wave — has had to make some changes. But now that Schweikert's sharing the ballot with Trump, he's not sweating that either. But while Democrats are hoping the state-level vote will boost turnout on their side and remind voters of Republicans' opposition to abortion, Schweikert sees it differently.

On Tuesday, the media company announced price hikes across the board for Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+. Netflix remains the runaway leader in the streaming business – and the only consistently profitable competitor in the segment. ESPN+, the company’s sports streaming service, will also rise by $1 to $11.99 per month. The company also hiked the price of its subscription services by several dollars last year in an effort to make its streaming services profitable. Disney’s direct-to-consumer business, which includes its streaming services Disney+ and Hulu, long a money-losing endeavor for the company, eked out its first profit in May.
