But I’m afraid for those I love, for those I don’t love, those I know, those I don’t know. Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris evenly split these voters nationally, with 49% each, according to exit polls. Levin sees women’s rights in retreat; lies and distortions that go largely unchallenged; meanness toward immigrants; and disdain for civility and democratic norms. I don’t know what that is unless it’s a people. It’s just, I don’t know, I don’t like the division and everything.”Murphy can agree on that point.

Democratic Rep. Josh Gottheimer of New Jersey announced Friday that he would seek to become the Garden State's next governor, entering what is expected to be a crowded Democratic primary field. Gottheimer has represented his state's 5th Congressional District, which lies in northern New Jersey, bordering New York, since 2017. But one distinguishing feature of his campaign, Gottheimer said, is that he is "focused like a laser beam on the need to lower your taxes and lower your costs." "He stands up for what he believes, and you can count on him to deliver," Berry said in the campaign video. Rep. Mikie Sherrill, D-N.J., who has served alongside Gottheimer since 2019, is another name that has been floated in the state as a potential candidate in next year's race.

Workers are struggling to get a handle on their jobs, and this failure falls on everyone — companies, managers, human-resources departments, and, in some cases, the workers themselves. The chaos has left employers, managers, and employees wondering just how much time and money it's worth investing in training in the first place. It's tough to learn by osmosis over Slack, and the deluge of HR apps and training modules isn't filling in the gaps. As workers and managers are increasingly overextended, these types of unmeasured, softer activities can fall by the wayside. Gavin emphasized that it's not just on companies and managers to make sure employees are learning and getting onboarded but also on individual workers.

Practical realists and head-in-the-cloud dreamers don't always get along in the workplace. The problem: You need both for your business to succeed, according to Beth Viner, a managing director and partner at Boston Consulting Group's tech, design and business unit. At times, that puts them at odds with their realist counterparts, the "doers" who build and sustain companies. In her talk, Viner largely addressed the dreamers in the room — but the lessons she shared are applicable to everyone. Here are her top three tips for working with those colleagues you may find the most frustrating.

Editor’s Note: Fareed Zakaria hosts “Fareed Zakaria GPS,” airing at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. CNN —Henry Kissinger, who died this week at 100, may have been the most famous foreign policy practitioner in modern American history. And yet, admired or despised, he managed to hold the world’s attention long after his power waned. The Vietnam War was over. It particularly irked him that the liberal elites who had been enthusiastically in favor of the Vietnam War in 1967 became his most vicious critics within a few years.

The war provoked by Hamas' attack on Israel has shaken American politics — and put the primary race in her wheelhouse. Iran has long supported Hamas, though U.S. officials say there's no conclusive evidence yet that Iranian agents were involved in the most recent attack. Ron DeSantis proposed state-level sanctions against Iran for its ongoing support of Hamas. Since before the war, Haley has gone after her rivals on issues such as U.S. support for Ukraine against Russia's invasion and how Washington deals with China. And, in keeping with how he treats rivals, Trump has given Haley a nickname, “Birdbrain."
