CNN —Veteran environmentalist Paul Watson was arrested in Greenland on Sunday and faces possible extradition to Japan allegedly over anti-whaling activities in the Antarctic years ago, his organization said in a statement. The ship John Paul DeJoria and a 25-member crew were en route from Dublin, Ireland to the North Pacific to intercept Japan’s newly launched $48 million factory whaling ship the Kangei Maru, CPWF said. In a statement, Greenland police said they arrested Watson upon his arrival in Nuuk due to a Japanese arrest warrant. His foundation believes the arrest “is connected to a previous Red Notice issued for Watson’s anti-whaling activities in the Antarctic.”“This development comes as a surprise since the Foundation’s lawyers had reported that the Red Notice had been withdrawn. “Japan has never given up on its whaling ambitions,” Watson told CNN at the time.

Could Trump's next courtroom outburst or gag-violating Truth Social post really be the final straw that gets him locked up on contempt of court? "You get more due process" when you commit an act of contempt outside the courtroom, Levine said. "It's when the judge calls the court officers and tells them to surround the defendant so that he doesn't try to walk out of the courtroom." AdvertisementBut Trump already has at least two court officers standing behind him at all times in Merchan's courtroom, for his own protection. Reality will instead set in when the judge gives what's usually the final instruction to the court officers, "Take charge," Galluzzo said.

Trump's arrest and perp walk on Tuesday was not the spectacle of victimization he reportedly wanted. Trump's perp walk was the shortest and quickest that veteran New York lawyers have ever heard of. It was the shortest "perp walk" that New York City lawyers can remember. Richman also said that in her more than 30 years of experience, she's never seen a perp walk where the defendant was uncuffed. But another seasoned defense attorney, Arthur Aidala, thinks that Trump's speedy bare-bones booking, and his minimalist perp walk, just made good sense.
Early on December 20, 1989, Delta Force operators descended on a Panamanian prison holding a CIA operative. But it was also the first time that Delta Force successfully completed a large-scale hostage rescue. In the months prior to the mission, the Delta operators practiced the mission multiple times. Once inside the cell, the Delta operators gave Muse a helmet, body armor, and goggles for protection before heading back to the MH-6s. A few minutes later, armored personnel carriers, carrying Delta operators and medics from the main invasion force, rescued them.
