Pitt also got 16 points and six assists from Jaland Lowe and 11 points from Ishmael Leggett. In a loss that ended its eight-game win streak, Duke (13-4, 4-2) was powered by Jared McCain’s 20 points. Duke battled back, but it seemed like every time the Blue Devils grabbed the lead, Hinson was there to answer. When Duke trimmed the deficit to one point with 1:10 to play, Lowe swished a pull-up 3-pointer with Filipowski’s hand in his face. The Blue Devils have been outrebounded in each of their four losses.

Trump repeated his vow that even a conviction would not stop his presidential campaign. "Not at all," Trump told conservative radio host John Fredericks when asked if a conviction and sentence would end his campaign. The former president is correct there is nothing that would stop a presidential candidate from campaigning if one were to be convicted. Trump faces a growing array of legal issues, underlining how his presidential campaign has increasingly become a fight for his own survival. A new CEO won’t fix Twitter’s biggest problem
  + stars: | 2023-05-17 | by ( Clare Duffy | ) edition.cnn.com   time to read: +7 min
New York CNN —During his six months as Twitter’s CEO and owner, Elon Musk decimated its ad business, alienated some news publications and VIP users, and plunged the platform into a constant state of chaos. But she may struggle to address Twitter’s biggest problem: Elon Musk. On Tuesday, Musk said he “didn’t care” if his controversial tweets drew the ire of Twitter advertisers or Tesla shareholders. She may struggle to undo the damage Elon Musk has done to the company's ad business. That could only add to the difficulty Yaccarino will face in shoring up Twitter’s business.
NBCUniversal took a dig at Twitter on Monday, saying the platform "just let all the crazies back in." Last week, Linda Yaccarino resigned as NBCU's ad chief to join Twitter as CEO, to replace Elon Musk. NBCUniversal took a swipe at Twitter on Monday — just days after NBCU's top ad chief resigned to join Elon Musk's social media platform. Twitter may seem like the place to begin, but Twitter just let all the crazies back in," according to Axios media reporter Kerry Flynn, who reported from the event. Its ad chief, Linda Yaccarino, who'd been at the company for nearly 12 years, resigned last week to join Twitter.
Those who fought with him in Ukraine told Insider he was unstable and erratic on the battlefield. "Bama is a highly unstable character," Nance told Insider. The warning signs continued, as McIntyre told Smith that he was wanted by the FBI for threatening to kill personnel at the White House, Smith. "As time went on, he confided to me that he had converted to Islam and that he was planning to do a jihad," Smith told Insider. "When you screw up, a company gets rid of you, pulls you off the line, and sends you back to the battalion," Nance told Insider.
Ray Epps told the Jan. 6 committee that the theory that he was working for the FBI never made much sense, given that Epps’ image landed on an FBI poster in the immediate aftermath of the attack. Epps told the committee that he was under the impression that the building, which was closed to the general public because of COVID restrictions, would be open. Another rioter, one of the first to breach the barricades, also told authorities that Epps told him to “relax“ and that police were just doing their job. It got really, really bad," he said. So it got really, really difficult after that.
Washington CNN Business —New Twitter owner Elon Musk declared last month that “hate speech impressions” had dramatically fallen on the platform since he took over. It was a remarkable claim, given that Musk has executed mass layoffs and chased away hundreds of employees, draining the company of much-needed resources to enforce content moderation policies, which the billionaire has also publicly criticized. On Friday, two watchdog groups published research that indicated Musk’s claim simply did not hold water, offering one of the clearest pictures to date of the surging tide of hate speech on the platform. The Center for Countering Digital Hate and Anti-Defamation League both said in reports that the volume of hate speech on Twitter has grown dramatically under Musk’s stewardship. Specifically, the Center for Countering Digital Hate said the daily use of the n-word under Musk is triple the 2022 average and the use of slurs against gay men and trans persons are up 58% and 62%, respectively.
Fox News' CEO privately doubted Donald Trump's election fraud claims, The NYT reported. The network pushed Trump's baseless claims the 2020 was stolen from him through fraud. Scott's claims about the election are likely to figure prominently in Dominion's case, with the company arguing that the network broadcast the fraud claims despite knowing them to be false. Afterwards, Fox News hosts and Trump allies pushed election-fraud claims on the network, often unchallenged. In a statement to The Times, Fox News defended Scott's record at the network and said that the discussion of the election fraud claims on the network was protected under the First Amendment.
Mary Fitzgerald has starred on 'Selling Sunset' for 5 seasons. It's definitely a different show than "Selling Sunset," as the agents are younger and they have a lot more drama going on. That being said, being on "Selling Sunset" has been good for our business. Working in the Oppenheim Group office has also changed a lot since "Selling Sunset." Some of the agents just didn't want to be on "Selling Sunset" — they don't want to put their lives out there, which is understandable.
Adam Kinzinger said a GOP-majority Congress might try to impeach the president every week. "That's going to look like child's play in terms of what Marjorie Taylor Greene is going to demand of Kevin McCarthy," Kinzinger said, referring to the House Minority leader. "They're going to demand an impeachment vote on President Biden every week," he quipped. Kinzinger appeared to be referring to how Greene, a right-wing lawmaker from Georgia, has made impeaching Biden part of her official platform. "I think it'll be a very difficult majority for him to govern unless he just chooses to go absolutely crazy with them," said Kinzinger, referring to his far-right GOP colleagues.
