London CNN —All Snapchill canned coffee products are being recalled across the United States because of fears they may contain a deadly toxin. The botulinum toxin can cause botulism, a rare but potentially fatal disease, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). “Snapchill is working on filing the appropriate notification with FDA,” the statement added. Snapchill distributed its products across the country through coffee roasters and retail outlets, as well as its own website. “Consumers should either destroy the products or return the product to Snapchill or the place of purchase for a refund,” the statement on the FDA’s website said.

CNN —The US Food and Drug Administration is warning that dangerous counterfeit versions of Botox have been identified in multiple states, putting the safety of consumers at risk. The incidents of counterfeit Botox being administered to consumers appear to be connected to products that have been purchased from unlicensed sources and then administered by either unlicensed or licensed providers. The counterfeit Botox products may be identified by the lot number C3709C3 found on the outer carton and vial, the FDA said. Counterfeit botox has been found in several states. Most often, when counterfeit Botox is sold, “the injector knows they’re purchasing something counterfeit,” Sung said.

CNN —One person has died and eight people have been hospitalized after an outbreak of botulism in a restaurant in the French city of Bordeaux, according to a statement from France’s public health body on Wednesday. It is thought that the diners ate sardines in a home-made oil preserve, which was contaminated with botulism bacteria. They all dined at the Tchin Tchin wine bar from September 4 to September 10, Public Health France said. France’s public health agency has warned anyone who visited the restaurant and has shown any symptoms of botulism to immediately seek medical help.
