On Friday she added to her list of remarkable feats by competing in the 100-meters hurdles at the US Olympic track and field trials for the first time in 12 years, aged 41. “I know what it’s like not to make the Olympic team … You sometimes feel your world is over in your 20s if you don’t make a team. I hope to show them you can still be in your 40s and be good enough to qualify for the Olympic trials. My world’s not ending if I don’t make this Olympic team. There’s longevity.”Lolo Jones said she had not been able to prepare properly for the trials because of injury.

The Swiss team said Vogt “suffered a severe concussion and bruises” and push athletes Dominik Hufschmid and Andreas Haas also had slight injuries. The pair won a World Cup race in December and are third in the season-long standings. Vogt’s four-man bob crew is fourth in that discipline’s World Cup standings.

REUTERS/Brendan McDermid/File Photo Acquire Licensing RightsSept 21 (Reuters) - Aja Evans, a 2014 Olympic bobsled bronze medalist, has filed a lawsuit alleging that a doctor who worked on Team USA's medical staff subjected her to nearly a decade of sexual abuse and harassment during treatment. The USOPC said it had not reviewed the complaint, but "remains committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of Team USA athletes," including by eliminating abuse. USA Bobsled did not immediately respond to a request for comment. "Rather than being protected, believed, and taken seriously, Ms. Evans was subjected to investigation and degradation by the USOPC and USA Bobsled governing bodies," the lawsuit said.

Amazon's digital ad business is only behind Google's and Meta's — and it's already stolen budget from Meta. Today, that advertising business is no longer simply a way to drive product sales on Amazon. Amazon's ad business, which generated $9.5 billion during the third quarter of 2022, dwarfed Microsoft and Snap and ranked third behind Google and Facebook parent, Meta. There are now nearly 600 advertising partners in Amazon's advertising ecosystem, according to Amazon's directory of companies in the space. As part of its ambitions to grow advertising, Amazon also pitches a data clean room called Amazon Marketing Cloud.
Amazon's ad tool inaccurately showed how much advertisers spent on Black Friday campaigns. Ad buyers said the glitch cost them betweens tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars. The range of overspending varies wildly from tens of thousands of dollars to hundreds of thousands of dollars, the agencies said. Ad buyers often devote up to 80% to 90% of their Amazon ad budgets to these two formats. Another agency source suspects Amazon might decline to give their money back and simply tell advertisers that their overspent ad dollars drove sales.
That’s five times more than the number of teams represented in the first Winter Games in Chamonix, France in 1924. “They want to keep the girls pretty, in a special way,” Bonaly told CNN Sport as she reflected on her career. India has never won a medal at the Winter Games and does not have a prominent winter sports federation, Keshavan told CNN Sport. Shiva Keshavan of India reacts following run 3 during the Luge Men's Singles on day two of the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic Games. Hopefully, it just encourages more and more Black athletes to come out to winter sports and not just Black athletes, winter sports for everybody.

Dr. Brooks is the vice president and chief clinical officer for the Renfrew Center, a US-based clinic specializing in eating disorders treatments. Over Brooks’ 30 year career, she has treated many patients who suffer from eating disorders and acted as the eating disorders specialist in the HBO film Thin. “We are really understanding more and more that eating disorders are not just a White, suburban women’s disease, and that, you know, for a long time the belief was that women of color, particularly Black women, were protected culturally from developing eating disorders,” said Dr. Brooks. Three years later she placed fifth in the high jump at the Commonwealth Games in Australia.
