Amazon recently launched Cedric, an internal AI chatbot, to boost employee productivity. Amazon has repeatedly warned employees not to use third-party AI chatbots, including ChatGPT. Cedric is a "general purpose AI chatbot" that is "safer than ChatGPT," an internal document obtained by BI said. Earlier this year, Amazon formalized internal guidelines that ban external AI tools, including ChatGPT, for business purposes.
