AJ Eckstein left a stable consulting job to launch Creator Match, seeking more control of his career. After long days, I'd return to my apartment and dedicate myself to case prep to pursue a consulting career. I was doing my own Creator brand deals on LinkedIn and starting to help Creator friends monetize their brands, which is how the idea for my company, Creator Match, was born. Leaving felt like getting divorced from someone I admired and respected. AdvertisementI reminded myself that I wasn't leaving him — I was leaving the company to pursue a dream.

The US election showed shades of the meme stock mania of early 2021. Ron DeSantis' Presidential Announcement with Elon MuskSimilarly, in February 2021, Cuban thanked members of Reddit's WallStreetBets forum for "changing the game" and "taking on Wall Street." Wall Street traders watched the swings in election betting markets to assess the state of the presidential race and inform their investments, Malek added. Trump Media & Technology Group, the parent company of Truth Social which counts the president-elect as its majority shareholder, unites several of these ideas. AdvertisementThere are clear parallels between the meme stock mania of early 2021 and the social-media chatter and betting-platform activity going into the election.

Analysts expect Trump's economic policies to increase inflation, and push interest rates higher. AdvertisementDonald Trump's victory is set to herald a new era of higher inflation, tighter monetary policy, and surging cryptocurrencies, analysts said in initial reactions to the presidential election result. The economic impact of Trump's second term is likely to be volatile, said Lindsay James, investment strategist at UK-based Quilter Investments. However, such cuts could be shortlived if Trump's trade policies, which include proposed near-universal tariffs, prove to be inflationary as expected. Bitcoin could hit $100,000One asset that analysts expect to surge in the wake of Trump's victory is bitcoin, which rallied sharply early on Wednesday morning.

Even Warren Buffett thinks his stock is too expensive

CNN —Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway has over $325 billion in cash on hand. Berkshire Hathaway was a net seller of stocks across its portfolio that quarter and grew its cash-on-hand to record amounts. Berkshire Hathaway’s actions signal to investors that its stock might be overvalued, Cathy Seifert, an analyst at CFRA Research, told CNN. Buffett will repurchase shares when he thinks the price is “below Berkshire’s intrinsic value, conservatively determined,” according to Berkshire Hathaway’s regulatory filings. “All this suggests that Buffett has serious concerns about the economic backdrop and the current state of the stock market,” Mould said in a note.

Warren Buffett signaled in Berkshire Hathaway's third-quarter earnings that he was being cautious. The investor built a record cash pile, slashed his two biggest stock bets, and halted buybacks. The legendary investor and his team sold $36 billion of shares and only made purchases worth $1.5 billion, marking their eighth straight quarter as net sellers. Related storiesNotably, Berkshire pared its bets on Apple and Bank of America, its two largest stock positions going into the quarter. Buffett has said that buybacks only make financial sense when a stock is trading at a discount to its intrinsic value.

Anxiety over the US election could be hurting some workers' productivity. One boss is considering letting his employees work remotely in the weeks after the election. She said some workers will be busy hitting refresh on news and social sites, looking for insight into how the election might swing. Yet that doesn't mean being overly indulgent or letting workers focus too long on issues that aren't germane to the business. Despite the widespread election worries, not every indicator signals that the vexing political climate is throwing off most workers.

Nvidia dethroned Apple as the world’s most valuable company on Friday following a record-setting rally in the stock, powered by insatiable demand for its specialized artificial intelligence chips. Nvidia ended the day up 0.8%, with a market value of $3.47 trillion, while Apple’s shares rose 0.4%, valuing the iPhone maker at $3.52 trillion. In June, Nvidia briefly became the world’s most valuable company before it was overtaken by Microsoft and Apple. Beijing Reuters —Intel products sold in China should be subject to a security review, the Cybersecurity Association of China (CSAC) said on Wednesday, alleging the US chipmaker has “constantly harmed” the country’s national security and interests. “It is recommended that a network security review is initiated on the products Intel sells in China, so as to effectively safeguard China’s national security and the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese consumers,” CSAC said. Last year, CAC barred domestic operators of key infrastructure from buying products made by US memory chipmaker Micron Technology Inc (MU) after deeming the company’s products as having failed its network security review. A similar security review on Intel products could negatively impact the company’s revenues, over a quarter of which came from China last year. “This poses a great security threat to the critical information infrastructures of countries all over the world, including China … the use of Intel products poses a serious risk to national security,” CSAC said.

Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh left the sidelines in the middle of the team’s game on Sunday due to what he said afterward was an “atrial flutter,” in which his heartbeat went out of rhythm. Harbaugh’s brother, Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, abruptly left the team’s postgame press conference after being informed that Jim had experienced a health issue during the Chargers game. What happened to Jim Harbaugh during the Chargers game? The term “sinus rhythm” Harbaugh used refers to the heart’s normal rhythm. The Baltimore Ravens’ 30-23 win over the Washington Commanders had concluded while the Chargers game was still being held.

When the power goes out, it’s a race against time to make sure food doesn’t spoil. “Bacteria multiply quickly between temperatures of 40 degrees Fahrenheit and 140 degrees Fahrenheit,” CNN wellness expert Dr. Leana Wen told CNN. Once the power is cut, a full freezer can hold a safe temperature for 48 hours with the door closed. They should also be kept in separate areas of the refrigerator any day of the week, regardless of the weather. Humana's stock is down 23% in its worst weekly drop since 2020 and biggest two-day decline since 2009. The drop comes as Medicare downgraded ratings on some of Humana's health insurance plans. The health insurer's shares are down 23% since the start of the week, marking its biggest weekly drop since 2020 and its biggest two-day decline in 15 years. Over those days, the stock declined 22%, the biggest two-day drop since the financial crisis in 2009. They said Medicare Advantage plans could see further pressure if Democrats win in the upcoming elections, which would hinder Humana's recovery.
