Quang attributes the unexpected virality to a digital trend that first appeared at the end of 2023: the office siren. AdvertisementGoogle Trends shows searches for the term "office siren" increased tenfold between the first week of May and the first week of August. The office siren is a polarizing character — a sexed-up appropriation of office wear, restyled and applied to contexts outside the office. "Obviously, I'm not wearing this to the office," Quang said. "The office siren is just a character I'm playing."

Gen Z shoppers came out in full force during Black Friday and Cyber Monday this year. BNPL seems like an easy way to pay for purchases, but it's causing some young consumers to rack up debt. Despite predictions of a lackluster holiday shopping season this year, shoppers came out in full force during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. "One standout this Black Friday was the high turnout of Gen Z in stores," Kristen Classi-Zummo, apparel industry analyst with market research firm NPD, told CNN. Frequent BNPL use has led some young shoppers to rack up thousands of dollars in debt and tank their credit scores.
They’re Gen Z. “One standout this Black Friday was the high turnout of Gen Z in stores,” said Kristen Classi-Zummo, apparel industry analyst with market research firm NPD. They came early, they came with friends, and they came to shop.”She said the prevalence of younger shoppers on Black Friday and over the Thanksgiving holiday shopping weekend surprised her. Mall operator PREIT, which owns 18 shopping centers primarily on the East Coast, confirmed that Gen Z consumers were out in force. “For Gen Z, it wasn’t just about shopping.
An earlier study in adults showed that the drug did indeed help with weight loss. “We’ve entered the phase where we are seeing the kind of weight loss where teens come to us in tears. In addition to the weight loss, the drug reduced some cardiovascular risk factors, including waist circumference and bad cholesterol. As it turns out, even when people get weight loss surgery, “three years out, there is significant weight gain,” Li said. When a weight loss drug like this is prescribed to patients, that shouldn’t be the end of things, Li said.
Do You Have to Wear an Underwire Bra to Work? Really?

BRA-STRUCK Going back to the office—and back to bras—doesn’t mean you have to relinquish the comfort of sporting a soft bra (or none at all). BRAS ARE RARELY COMFORTABLE—which is why a lot of us relate to those memes depicting women rapturously ripping theirs off after an overly cinched day at work. During the pandemic, many women declared their home offices constriction-free zones, and consciously uncoupled from their bras. “When they did [wear them], they opted for wire-free, comfortable styles,” said Kristen Classi-Zummo, an intimates expert at market research firm NPD Group. At one retailer, Bare Necessities, sales of wireless bras doubled between 2020 and 2022.
