Russian actors "manufactured and amplified" a recent viral video that falsely showed a person tearing up ballots in Pennsylvania, the FBI and two other federal agencies said Friday. In the video, a person is seen destroying what are purported to be filled-out ballots in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. “The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office will not tolerate any voter suppression, intimidation, or fraud,” the statement added. Fulton County prosecutors asked a Georgia appeals court this week to restore six charges against former President Donald Trump that were tossed in his indictment over attempts to overturn his 2020 election loss in the state. In a court filing, prosecutors from Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis' office requested that the state's Court of Appeals reinstate six counts, including three against Trump, that she said Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee wrongly discarded earlier this year. "The trial court erred by quashing six counts of the indictment in this case, each of which alleged the crime of Solicitation of Violation of Oath by Public Officer," they wrote. The three solicitation counts against Trump included accusations that he solicited Georgia House Speaker David Ralston and twice solicited Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. Four of the original 19 co-defendants in the case have pleaded guilty, while Trump, Meadows, Giuliani and the others have pleaded not guilty.

Attorneys for Donald Trump on Thursday argued against the release of additional evidence in the former president's federal election interference case in the lead up to Election Day. A spokesperson for the special counsel’s office declined to comment on the filing. Prosecutors from Smith's office had previously rebuffed assertions from Trump's attorneys that the government was "motivated by improper political considerations." The federal election case was upended after the Supreme Court’s immunity ruling which found that Trump has some protection from prosecution related to official acts. A judge overseeing that case last month granted the former president's request to further postpone his sentencing hearing until after Election Day.
