I owned the Fisker Ocean. It was a nightmare.

Earlier this year, YouTuber Marques Brownlee said the Fisker Ocean was the "worst car I've ever reviewed." I thought the Fisker Ocean was a great option, based on the price and a nice marketing message around the sustainability of the vehicle. I reported the issue to Fisker right away and I struggled to get them to come out and service it. FiskerAt first, Fisker sent out a roadside assistance guy to jump the car and the car wouldn't jump. Regarding the owner's seat-sensor issue, the Fisker spokesperson said the seat sensor was a "routine fix for some early vehicles."

Joz said people thought the iPhone was huge back then, but now the iPhone 15 has a massive display. Advertisement"Go back and look at the original iPhone," Joz said in the interview. "And now you look at this you know, massive beautiful display and edge to edge, it's just pretty damn sweet, Brian," Joz said, referring to his iPhone 15 (the marketing exec naturally took the opportunity to say the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Max were his top three iPhones). In comparison to the original iPhone, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is nearly double its size, with a 6.69-inch screen frame. Later that same year, a factory-sealed 4GB original iPhone fetched $190,372.80 at auction — more than 317 times the original price tag.

AdvertisementAuto expert Sandy Munro took a Tesla Cybertruck on a mini road trip and had one main complaint — the truck can be difficult to maneuver at times. Instead, Tesla has a rearview camera that displays on the truck's massive infotainment system. The auto expert is far from the first to express frustration with backing up in the Cybertruck. "A camera feed constantly runs on the center screen, but I still checked the rearview mirror out of habit every few minutes." "You have to be cognizant all the time that this is a big truck," Munro said of the Cybertruck.

The Cybertruck will start at $60,990, tens of thousands more than what Tesla promised in 2019. It was the opposite, horrible launch event, disappointing range, almost abusive pricing considering what was promised," wrote one Tesla fan on Reddit . "For me, this potential purchase was always always about two things, setting aside the design: range & price. The company is offering a "range extender" which it says will bring the Cybertruck closer to its promised range. Prominent tech YouTuber Marques Brownlee also criticized the discrepancy between what Tesla promised in 2019 and what it is offering now.

The Nothing Phone 2 will soon give Android users the option to communicate with Apple's iMessage. It works by asking you to log into your iCloud account through a Mac mini server farm, drawing security concerns. If messaging services are dividing phone users, then we want to break those barriers down. AdvertisementWhile a simple switch from green to blue bubbles might sound trivial, there really is an existing communication barrier for some Android users, especially when most of the people they talk to have iPhones. Business Insider previously spoke to Android users in their 20s who said they had received criticism and mean comments about their phone choice.

The iPhone 15 features a USB-C port instead of the Lightning port which has been standard for more than decade. YouTuber Marques Brownlee says the new port lets the iPhone 15 transfer battery power to older iPhones. iPhone 15 devices can also communicate with each other to figure out which has a lower battery level, he said. AdvertisementAdvertisementInsider also tested this feature by plugging in the iPhone 15 Pro to an iPhone 13 Pro and noticed that the iPhone 15 Pro acted as a power bank and automatically started charging the iPhone 13. When Insider connected the iPhone 15 Pro to the iPhone 15, the two devices performed a handshake to recognize that the iPhone 15 had a much higher battery charge, and the iPhone 15 then started charging the iPhone 15 Pro.

Prominent tech reviewer and YouTuber MKBHD weighed in on the age-old Apple vs. Android debate. This video comes after Instagram head Adam Mosseri reignited the debate by declaring Android better. To figure out your own personal winner, Brownlee suggested viewers give each of the 7 categories a rating from 1 to 5 based on how much they care about it. Then, based on the earlier head-to-head, viewers should add up the scores they gave all of the iPhone-won categories and the scores they gave to the Android-won categories. AdvertisementAdvertisementFollowing this weighted system, Brownlee found his personal winner was Android, which he said he uses as his main device while also using an iPhone.

Tesla began to open some of its exclusive Supercharging stations to other electric vehicles earlier this year. But the cords are designed for Teslas, meaning that owners of some other cars need to use two spaces to plug in. There's just one kink that Elon Musk hasn't ironed out: The charging cables, which were designed for Teslas, aren't long enough to comfortably accommodate some other cars. That poses a problem when other electric cars, which may have their charging ports elsewhere, try to charge up. Tesla owners sometimes experience long lines at charging stations, particularly during popular travel times.

Instagram head Adam Mosseri said Android is "now better" than Apple's iOS. Which is better: iPhone or Android? "Android's now better than iOS," Mosseri posted on Threads in response to tech YouTuber Marques Brownlee, aka MKBHD, who had asked for people's best tech "hot takes." Both Android and iOS have been wildly successful since the introduction of the first iPhone and Android phones in 2007 and 2008, respectively. As of the first quarter of 2023, Apple held an estimated 52% US smartphone market share, with Samsung the runner-up with a 27% share.

Following the announcement of Apple's Vision Pro headset at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference, some attendees were whisked away in golf carts to a location on the company's campus to try out the new headset. Many noted the device's display screens were impressive (each have a more-than 4K resolution) and its hand-eye scrolling and tapping functions were responsive and worked mostly smoothly. YouTuber Brownlee said the most impressive thing about the headset was the device's internal eye-tracking technology, calling the experience "telepathic." The Verge's Patel was impressed by the device's display, which he said was "easily the highest-resolution VR display I have ever seen," and its "video passthrough" technology — the device's display adjusting to show a person who is talking to you in-person or your surroundings. "The most perfect headset demo reel of all time is still just a headset demo reel — whether Apple's famed developer community can generate a killer app for the Vision Pro is still up in the air," The Verge's Patel wrote.

YouTuber Marques Brownlee filmed what it's like to use Google's 3D video chat device. Google unveiled the tech, dubbed "Project Starline," back in 2021 with pictures showing the "magic window" for meetings. Brownlee's video actually shows what it's like to use Google's latest prototype for the technology. The video by Brownlee actually shows what it's like to use the technology — Google has previously shown images and animations. "The magic of this is twofold — it's the display and the computing happening," he said in the video.
Google Bard, the search firm's answer to ChatGPT, has underwhelmed early testers. Users in the US and UK trying out the AI chatbot find it pales in comparison to OpenAI's tech. The makers of the Twofer Goofer word puzzle found ChatGPT was much better at solving the brainteasers than Google's Bard. It's possible that the company does have a super impressive AI tool up its sleeve. Insider's Hugh Langley reported earlier in March that Google employees are testing a more intelligent version of Bard, nicknamed "Big Bard."
Tesla opened up some of its exclusive Supercharging stations to rival electric vehicles. But the cords are designed for Teslas, meaning that owners of some other cars need to use two spaces. Early this month, Tesla opened a handful of its roughly 1,700 US charging stations to non-Tesla vehicles. (Tesla designed its own charging connector, while the rest of the industry uses a different standard.) Tesla owners sometimes experience long lines at charging stations, particularly during popular travel times.
