CNN —Former President Donald Trump was dealt two major setbacks Thursday in his efforts to derail the criminal cases against him, with judges in the Georgia election interference case and in the federal classified documents case both rejecting bids by the presumptive 2024 GOP presidential nominee to have those cases thrown out. Trump has made similar presidential immunity arguments in the Georgia case and in the classified documents case. She wrote that prosecutors “make no reference to the Presidential Records Act” in the indictment against Trump and did not “rely” on the statute to bring charges. McAfee’s ruling is the latest step inching the state racketeering case against Trump forward. McAfee’s refusal to scrap the indictment comes as the free speech defense has repeatedly fallen short in pretrial wrangling in election meddling cases.

NEW YORK – Hyundai's Genesis is previewing the future of the growingly prominent luxury brand with a new large all-electric concept vehicle called the Neolun. The full-size SUV features a sleek exterior design illuminated by long horizontal headlights and taillights reminiscent of the brand's current EVs, though more modern. The SUV features a large central screen with physical buttons below it and a control panel and knob to the right of the driver. Democrat Tom Suozzi flipped a New York congressional seat blue Tuesday night, narrowing the GOP's already razor-thin majority in the House and boosting the spirits of Democrats fretting about President Joe Biden's strength in the fall elections. A centrist Democrat, Suozzi was seeking to get back the job he had before he left to run, unsuccessfully, for the gubernatorial nomination in 2022. CNN —Actor Jamie Foxx faces sexual assault and battery charges in a lawsuit filed on Monday with the New York State Supreme Court. CNN has reached out to representatives for Foxx as well as the plaintiff’s attorney. The complaint alleges Foxx seemed “intoxicated” at the time of the incident. The law has given adult survivors of sexual assault one year to file lawsuits against their perpetrators and is set to expire on Friday.
