CNN —If Halloween had a fashion handbook, the party scene from the 2004 classic “Mean Girls” would take up a whole chapter. Paramount+/ImdbIn the two decades since “Mean Girls,” came out, the Halloween costume spectrum has filled with more choice — and a lot of creativity. Dressing up sexy for Halloween has been going on for decades, but more people also seem to be embracing alternative aesthetics for the season. Heidi Klum is one of the celebrities flipping the script on dressing for Halloween in recent years. The model is seen here in her 2022 Halloween costume - a worm.

The tale is likely familiar to Disney and Star Wars fans, many of whom heard about the high-dollar, high-concept hotel and its closure in 2023. The question, directed towards women, seems simple: Would you rather be alone in the woods with a man or a bear? When asked why they would pick the bear, women all give some iteration of the same answer: With a bear, they know what the dangers are. A lot of detractors also seem to be misunderstanding the definition of a hypothetical question. TikTok creator and anti-misogynist educator Call Me BK, who claims to have started the current man vs. bear debate, said he didn’t even consider the question to be hypothetical. However, some positive comments have argued that the question isn’t meant to lambaste men or pick apart the potential danger of a bear encounter.

What putting up a bird feeder can lead to
  + stars: | 2024-04-09 | by ( Aj Willingham | ) edition.cnn.com   time to read: +5 min
Blame the bird feeders — all three of them (plus a bird bath and a hummingbird feeder, of course). It’s hard to describe what happens, but it comes upon you like a cascade of feathered dopamine: You get a bird feeder. Then, the birds start to come to your bird feeder! While you can certainly outfit your bird community with top-of-the-line accoutrement, it’s not that expensive — and just as satisfying — to just have a single feeder. Even the most humble sparrow or house wren has its own little personality, its own little dramas and peculiarities.

CNN —Former President Donald Trump is literally selling religion to his followers in the form of commemorative Bibles, while President Joe Biden is being criticized by Republicans for allegedly disrespecting the Easter holiday. The version of the Bible Trump is selling also includes the US Constitution and other founding documents. “The Biden White House has betrayed the central tenet of Easter—which is the resurrection of Jesus Christ,” House Speaker Mike Johnson wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
