56 percent of these college students go to a school that admits at least three-quarters of its applicants.
These statistics reveal a simple fact about affirmative action in higher education: It mattered very little for the majority of American college students.
But because affirmative action only opened a tiny window of access to America’s most elite institutions, the ruling will make little difference for most college students.
