Thousands of striking Boeing workers on Monday were voting on a new labor deal that, if approved, would end a seven-week strike that analysts say is costing the company tens of millions of dollars each day.
Roughly 33,000 machinists walked off the job in the Seattle and Portland, Ore., areas in September, stalling operations at factories where Boeing manufactures most of its commercial planes.
In October, workers rejected a second tentative labor contract by a wide margin, just after the plane maker reported a $6.1 billion quarterly loss.
Here’s what else to know about the latest developments in the company’s first strike since 2008:How many workers are on strike?
The contract that spurred the ongoing strike covers about a fifth of the company’s employees.
