Silver Olympic medalists are given considerably larger bonuses – HK$3 million (around $386,000) – than gold Paralympic medalists from Hong Kong. The United States is comparatively less generous, awarding $37,500 to both Olympic and Paralympic gold medalists. Lithuanian Paralympic champions currently receive a bonus of €83,875 (around $94,000), which is exactly half what Olympic champions from the nation received. However, it has not been decided if this will be achieved by increasing Paralympic bonuses or by decreasing bonuses for Olympic gold medalists.

But the British monarch opted to film this year’s message at Fitzrovia Chapel in central London, which was previously a hospital chapel before it was demolished in 1924. Buckingham Palace confirmed the location on Monday afternoon after it was first reported by The Daily Telegraph. The last message filmed outside a royal residence was in 2006 when the late Queen Elizabeth II recorded her message at Southwark Cathedral.

CNN —Britain’s King Charles III and Queen Camilla made a surprise pitstop in India as they returned from their royal tour to Australia and Samoa. “Their Majesties had a short private stopover in India to help break the long journey back from Samoa,” a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said on Wednesday. Then-Prince Charles and Camilla during a visit to India on November 9, 2017 in New Delhi. The King is expected to return to regular overseas trips in 2025, according to Britain’s PA Media news agency. Charles will carry out trips in the spring and autumn, on the regular foreign royal tour schedule, so long as doctors sign off on the journeys.
