“The Devil,” a U.S. fugitive who was featured on “America’s Most Wanted,” has been captured in Mexico, the United States Marshals Service said. Antonio Riano, 62, was arrested Thursday in his hometown of Zapotitlan Palmas, State of Oaxaca, Mexico, officials said, where he was found to be working an ironic job. “When Riano was arrested in Mexico he was found to be working as a local police officer,” the agency said in a press release on Thursday. Afterwards, he fled the United States allegedly to avoid prosecution. After being captured, Riano was flown from Mexico City to Cincinnati, then transported to the Butler County Jail.

Authorities in Mexico found a car that a 36-year-old Hamilton, Ohio man was traveling in when he went missing in the country at the end of last year, according to officials. The body of a man roughly between the age of 20 to 35 was also found along with the car, according to the attorney general. Gutierrez went missing in Mexico in Dec. 2022 while visiting his fiancé, Daniela Pichardo, in Mexico, NBC affiliate WLWT reported. According to a preliminary forensic analysis, four bodies were found in the burial site near Gutierrez' car, three women and one man, the office of the attorney general said. Gutierrez worked for Champlin Architecture at the time of his disappearance, a spokesperson for the company confirmed over the phone.

An Ohio man accused of helping his family plan, carry out and cover up the killing of eight members of another family was found guilty of murder Wednesday. Both Wagner brothers as well as their parents, Angela Wagner and George “Billy” Wagner III, were charged in the killings. Angela Wagner pleaded guilty to a role in helping to plan the killings in exchange for a 30-year sentence.
