Peste câteva zile, Partidul Socialiştilor și Partidul Democrat au intrat în negocieri pentru crearea unei noi coaliții de guvernare. Potrivit imaginilor de la ședința din 16 decembrie, Ghenadie Verdeș a susținut prin votul său, în lectură finală, proiectul Legii privind activitatea farmaceutică, cel al bugetului de stat, precum și proiectul cu privire la farmaciile mobile, inițiativă promovată de Partidul „Șor”. Asta chiar dacă liderul grupului din care face parte, Andrian Candu, a criticat modul de examinare și aprobare a proiectelor în ședința din acea zi. Verdeș nu a comentat deocamdată această situație.

Astfel, un grup de cetățeni stabiliți în Irlanda au ieșit astăzi în fața Ambasadei R. Moldova de la Dublin, punctând că se alătură astfel moldovenilor aflați azi în fața Parlamentelui și, totodată, solicitând alegeri anticipate. „Ne-am adunat aici băieții de bună credință de la Dublin, în suportul protestelor și tuturor celor de la Chișinău. Deputații socialiști au înregistrat miercuri un proiect de lege prin care Serviciul de Informații și Securitate (SIS) să fie luat din subordinea președintelui R. Moldova. Comisia juridică numiri și imunități a aprobat cu 5 voturi un raport pentru două lecturi în acest sens. Această inițiativă legislativă vine odată ce președintele în exercițiu al R. Moldova, Igor Dodon, a pierdut lupta pentru încă un mandat prezidențial, în fața candidatei PAS, Maia Sandu.

Și din partea lor a fost un act de curaj, iar decizia de a ne permite organizarea alegerilor a fost luată la cel mai înalt nivel”, a mai subliniat ambasadoarea. Alternativă nu era, decât aceea de a nu avea alegeri deloc”, declară Larisa Miculet, iar „alegeri deloc” nu a fost o soluție.

Deputatul Corneliu Padnevici anunță că părăsește grupul Pro Moldova și devine deputat neafiliat. „De astăzi mă retrag din grupul parlamentar PRO MOLDOVA și îmi voi continua activitatea în calitate de deputat neafiliat. Deși am fost printre fondatorii Partidului Pro Moldova și am muncit mult la afirmarea acestuia în calitate de forță politică alternativă, acum simt că nu mai pot contribui cu nimic la dezvoltarea acestui proiect politic. Liberi să vină în echipă, asumându-și riscuri și critici, dar și liberi să se retragă atunci când nu mai sunt Pro Moldova”, a reacționat liderul partidului, Andrian Candu. Menționăm că Padnevici a fost unul dintre cei șase deputați care au inițiat Pro Moldova, după desprinderea de la PD.
