Authorities announced an arrest Monday in the brutal murder of an exotic dancer whose body was discovered in a burning car on an Arizona interstate more than a year ago. Vega’s mother, Erika Pillsbury, said that for 19 months she felt like her daughter would never see justice. A hiker was found dead Monday along a trail in Big Bend National Park in Texas after rangers noticed a vehicle that had been parked for several days and launched a search, staff members said. The National Park Service did not name the 24-year-old hiker in a statement. The Marufo Vega Trail is one of the most rugged locations at Big Bend National Park in Texas. "I come from a family where I saw my parents lose everything, and I am terrified of that," she said. While the days of driving a beater are long gone, Sweeney said has a hard time coming to terms with her success. "It's a weird feeling when people are like, 'Oh, you're successful,' or say, 'You've made it,'" Sweeney says. "It doesn't feel like that because there's so much more I want to accomplish and achieve. And though she might never feel comfortable financially, she's proud of how far she's come.
