On Wednesday, his sentence was handed down by Judge Ronnie Abrams in federal court in Manhattan. Dr. Paduch, of North Bergen, N.J., was arrested last April. During appointments, the indictment said, Dr. Paduch told patients to masturbate in front of him, sometimes groping them or showing them pornography. During the course of the trial, 11 victims testified about abuse they had suffered under Dr. Paduch’s care, and dozens more wrote impact statements before he was sentenced Wednesday. Mallory Allen, a lawyer for a firm that represents 140 former patients who have filed civil suits against him, said in a statement that the sentence affirms that “heinous sexual abuse will not be overlooked.”

He had low testosterone levels, in the range of 219 to 239 nanograms per deciliter. Take Alexis Ohanian, the 41-year-old Reddit cofounder and Serena Williams' husband, who recently posted on X about his (relatively high) testosterone levels. RoWhen LaSara's cofounder John Snedegar opened up his brick-and-mortar men's health clinic in 2017, "nobody" was specializing in men's sexual health, he said. But he typically recommends lifestyle changes, like more exercise, eating better, and getting good sleep, which all naturally help to boost testosterone levels. The reality of breast cancer in men

Why men don’t think about breast cancerWhen people think of breast cancer, most think of “pink” and breast cancer in women. Men make up about 1% of all breast cancer cases, which means 1 in 726 men will be diagnosed in their lifetimes. The diagnosis is rare in men, but that is still a lot of men getting breast cancer. The role of genetics in male breast cancerMutations in the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes, which are more commonly associated with female breast and ovarian cancer, can increase a man’s risk for breast cancer. By raising awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, breaking down stigmas and encouraging men to talk to their doctors, we can help catch cancer early and help men live longer.

Pelvic floor issues are commonOverall, nearly a quarter of women in the United States develop pelvic floor issues, according to the National Institutes of Health. Regular physical activity is essential for overall health and can be safely maintained with proper modifications and attention to pelvic floor health. Why focus on pelvic floor healthGiven the prevalence and impact of these issues, maintaining pelvic floor health is vital to a good quality of life. But here’s the good news — pelvic floor health can be improved with the right care at the right time — sooner rather than later. And Kegels, which strengthen pelvic floor muscles, aren’t the only essential pelvic floor exercises.

If we don’t take care of our health today, we won’t enjoy a healthy sex life tomorrow. Studies have shown that men with emotional problems or stress are more likely to experience sexual dysfunction in the form of either premature ejaculation, erectile dysfunction and/or low sexual desire. Side effects of certain medicationsCertain medications, including those for hypertension and depression, can cause sexual dysfunction as a side effect. They may adjust your dosage or switch you to a different medication that has fewer effects on sexual health. Diabetic men, for instance, are three times more likely to experience erectile dysfunction compared with nondiabetic men.

I think the possibility that the man could have fertility issues can be more than just a clinical concern. That isn’t the case, which is why it’s crucial to broaden our focus and address male infertility. Within this context, male infertility plays a significant role, contributing to around 40% of cases of infertility. Treating male infertilityTreating your male fertility issues can start right now. CNN —The US Food and Drug Administration is warning that dangerous counterfeit versions of Botox have been identified in multiple states, putting the safety of consumers at risk. The incidents of counterfeit Botox being administered to consumers appear to be connected to products that have been purchased from unlicensed sources and then administered by either unlicensed or licensed providers. The counterfeit Botox products may be identified by the lot number C3709C3 found on the outer carton and vial, the FDA said. Counterfeit botox has been found in several states. CNN —Prostate cancer remains a significant concern in my practice, which is why I emphasize the importance of early detection. The American Cancer Society estimates there will be nearly 300,000 new cases of prostate cancer and about 35,000 deaths in 2024. When combined with other diagnostic tests and clinical assessments, it aids in identifying prostate cancer in its early stages, when treatment outcomes for prostate cancer surgery and radiation have the best odds for cure. Regardless of these guidelines, the best indicators of adequate hydration are rarely feeling thirsty and having light yellow urine. The diagnosis came after the British monarch underwent treatment for an enlarged prostate in January. In a statement shared with Business Insider, the palace did not disclose Charles' form of cancer but said that the health issue was discovered while the UK royal was undergoing his prostate procedure. On January 17, the palace announced that Charles had an enlarged prostate and would be undergoing a "corrective procedure" later in the month. It's fairly common to detect cancer during an enlarged prostate procedure, Brahmbhatt told BI. Brahmbhatt said procedures to treat an enlarged prostate can reveal cancers of the prostate, penis, testicles, bladder, or kidneys.

This rush is something that Britain’s King Charles III, admitted to a London hospital on Friday, might have encountered prior to his decision to undergo prostate surgery. A mildly enlarged prostate can cause noticeable symptoms such as a weaker stream when urinating or increased frequency, especially at night. There are effective medical and surgical options to improve your condition if an enlarged prostate is affecting your daily life. In managing an enlarged prostate, several medical options are available, each tailored to the severity of symptoms and the patient’s overall health. CNN —Just like women, men undergo significant hormonal changes as they age, especially in their testosterone levels. About 2 in 10 men over the age of 60 suffer from low testosterone levels, according to the American Urological Association. Only about 5% of men with low testosterone receive treatment, according to a 2018 study by the New England Research Institutes. Topical gels and creams are applied to the skin, ensuring steady hormone levels but require caution to prevent skin-to-skin transfer. A 2015 review found that overweight men are more likely to suffer from low testosterone, and losing weight can increase testosterone levels.

King Charles III will have a procedure to address an enlarged prostate at a hospital next week. The 75-year-old British monarch’s diagnosis is common among men his age, and experts say that typical treatments are not dangerous. An enlarged prostate, known also as benign prostatic hyperplasia, or BPH, is a noncancerous condition that occurs frequently among older men. By age 60, more than half of men have at least mild BPH symptoms, which include difficulty urinating and a sense of urgency to urinate. The same thing happens in men, Dr. Albertsen said, and at the same age.

Now the edifice may finally be cracking: The #MeToo movement is picking up pace in the medical profession. Though I was working at the medical center while the accusations unfurled, I wasn’t aware of them until more recently. Even after Dr. Hadden was found guilty, Columbia did not notify all of his patients about his behavior. After they divorced in 2021, when he was 51, he came to the conclusion that he would likely never have them. Robert DeNiro, 79, recently made headlines for fathering a child, and Al Pacino, 82, is expecting a new baby.
