Houthi militants said in a statement Saturday that Israel's behavior has included "massacres against our brothers in Gaza." On Saturday morning, a Houthi missile launched from Yemen struck Tel Aviv, resulting in injuries to 14 people but no deaths, emergency services officials in Israel said. In their statement, Houthi rebels noted the missile was not thwarted by Israel's "iron dome" defense.

CNN —Two US Navy pilots ejected safely after their fighter jet was shot down over the Red Sea on Saturday in an apparent friendly fire incident, US Central Command said in a statement. The Iran-backed Houthi militant group in Yemen has repeatedly made false claims of striking US warships operating in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. The strikes on the Iran-backed rebel group involved the use of Navy F/A-18 fighter jets, as well as US Air Force assets, CENTCOM said. According to two US military officials, the downed fighter jet was not part of the strikes in Yemen. The missile fired from Yemen hit Tel Aviv overnight into Saturday, Israeli authorities said, in a rare instance of a failed interception over the city.
