And this is our way of undoing that,” Leguizamo said in a video interview with series co-creator Ben DeJesus. NGL StudiosPart of the challenge of telling Latino history, Leguizamo said, is that you have to find it. “It was years and years of studying Latin history,” the actor reflected. Ultimately, both co-creators noted, something even deadlier than guns and steel would lead to the demise of these Latin American kingdoms and empires. “It empowers you, it gives you a sense that you matter, that you’re important, and the kids especially feel that.”For DeJesus, knowing Latino history also gives you a sense of belonging.

CNN —Since joining Liverpool in 2022, Darwin Núñez has continued to be an entertaining, yet polarizing presence in the English Premier League. This juxtaposition was on full display in Livepool’s league win against Chelsea on Wednesday, where Núñez missed a penalty, made a wonderful assist and then set an unwanted record. Two of those missed chances were brilliant efforts from the striker, but the other two were opportunities he really should have converted. Despite the missed chances, Núñez did pop up with a brilliant assist for Luis Díaz who made it 4-1 to the six-time European champions. When asked about his striker’s performance after the game, Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp tried to put a positive spin on it.

China, the world's second-largest economy, is already a major investor in South America and has offered tariff-free access to its huge consumer market to four countries. But Uruguay faces opposition from other members of the Mercosur bloc who want to settle an FTA with Europe instead. By comparison, other major beef exporters Australia and New Zealand, which have FTAs with China, pay tariffs at 3.3% and 0%. The elevation of ties with Uruguay to the level of Brazil and Argentina also pushes the remaining Mercosur member Paraguay further outside China's global trade and investment network. Agriculture-dependent Paraguay, whose main exports include beef and soybeans, is the last South American nation that has ties with democratically governed Taiwan, which China claims as part of its territory, and not with Beijing.
